The Tea Party won in 2016. Were just dealing with the remnants of 30 years of neocons still. Our problem is that we dont focus on these local and state races. its more of a national movement concerned with the Presidency since after 2010. Too bad because 2010 created the Freedom Caucus which is still going strong.

Freedom Caucus and Libertarians are much more concerned with Spending and fiscal conservatism than Trump, but you know Trump gets to spend those assets as President, hes got to deal with Foreign policy directly of course he wants to spend but hes going in the right direction on these past conflicts. The legislature doesnt have to deal with Foreign policy either. BASICALY DEMS ARE THE PROBLEM WITH DOMESTIC SPENDING/"Entitlements"

With what people have seen with city councils able to strip people of their civil liberties, I think a lot more people are realizing city council matters.
The problem is that all the random hangers-on and stupid factions instantly said, "hey, those guys are actually getting shit done!" and either tried to join them to mingle their messages with them (the anti-abortion crowd) or sabotaged the shit out of them (the RINOs, like that congresswoman in NY state who lost to a Tea Party candidate and then told everyone to vote for the Dem in that race -- people did, and the seat flipped).
I think Palin could pull it off. She was well-liked as governor. Apparently she tore up the corrupt old-boys network who had been controlling the state oil wealth funds.
