Here is a crazy question. Have you tried working out? I had back problems all my life, I even spent the better part of a week in bed because of back pain. Once I started working out, doing things that are "Terrible for your back" like deadlifts, my back pain vanished. I occasionally do have the morning back stiffness from sleeping wrong, but that usually goes away pretty quick and I've never had any real pain like I used to.
I am in my 50s now and work out a couple times a week at home, using my own equipment, and I feel pretty good.
One thing that I would recommend against, is squats, if you have bad knees. Since you knees are mostly cartilage and such, exercising them will not make them feel better and can do a lot more damage.

Here is a crazy question. Have you tried working out? I had back problems all my life, I even spent the better part of a week in bed because of back pain. Once I started working out, doing things that are "Terrible for your back" like deadlifts, my back pain vanished. I occasionally do have the morning back stiffness from sleeping wrong, but that usually goes away pretty quick and I've never had any real pain like I used to.
I am in my 50s now and work out a couple times a week at home, using my own equipment, and I feel pretty good.
One thing that I would recommend against, is squats, if you have bad knees. Since you knees are mostly cartilage and such, exercising them will not make them feel better and can do a lot more damage.

This happened to a friend of ours before covid. We were her only medical advocates and literally, every time we turned our backs they were denying her IV fluids, or starving her to death, or refusing to give her her medications.

She started her last decline back in January - we knew it was the end when she stopped stealing medical supplies from the nursing home and hospital.
She died in February during surgery. We realised later that it was the one year anniversary of her sister's death and we think she just...gave up.
Yeah, it's mainly just to kill them. If you take a regular 30 year old who has been on an anti-depressant for 5 years. Suddenly not taking that medication anymore will cause severe side effects, agony, withdrawal, all sorts of stuff.
