The pope is a Marxist Jesuit. All you need to know.

5
RoboGerbil 5 points ago +5 / -0

thats not the real pope. how many times in history have there been 2 popes alive at the same time.

MsAnthropic 20 points ago +20 / -0

What a timeline.... the Pope is clearly an evil force in the world.

2
Zaxxaz3 2 points ago +2 / -0

And he links this tweet to the organization which screwed over Rhodesia needlessly by sending funding and marxist recruits to be trained in North Korea and China. 100% hypocrisy.

This idiot should start with his bodyguards.

7
AnointedVisions 7 points ago +7 / -0

Exactly.

And that bulletproof popemobile

7
F_reddit 7 points ago +7 / -0

And the wall around the Vatican.

6
AnointedVisions 6 points ago +6 / -0

Walls are outdated symbols of hate and oppression!

5
F_reddit 5 points ago +5 / -0

Don't forget the patriarchy.

You are giving him more grace then I am willing to. I believe he is not merely foolish, he is evil and knows exactly what he is doing.

Jesus never told them to defend themselves or anything. It was to fullfil prophecy and when they told Jesus that they had two swords he said "it is enough". This happens seconds before Peter strikes at one that came with Judas where Jesus stops Peter and says (not exact quote) "whoever lives by the sword, dies by the sword".

And after Jesus (Acts). Do you remember a time where the apostles or desciples were mentioned to fight back when being persecuted.

3
ThePragmatist 3 points ago +3 / -0

The whole speech was about how they would have to watch out for their own well-being when He was gone. If the swords had been for just a prophecy-fulfilling moment, he wouldn't have said anything about selling anything for swords they already had.

Their response to him and Peter's action showed that they were eager to tangle with the Romans, because that is the Messiah they thought they had been waiting for. Jesus was not here for that.

We don't see them engaging in self-defense, but that doesn't mean they weren't prepared for bandits, just as they also engaged in industry rather thsn just following Jesus and taking what came to them. We have missionaries today who pack heat at home and are willing to be martyrs on the mission field. There is no contradiction or paradox.

You can’t take one bible verse alone and apply it in argument. This has nothing to do with that.

No, it doesn’t. Read it in context

VoterIDMatters -1 points ago +1 / -2

Here’s a good explanation of the complexity of the statement which was not likely entirely literal and more likely a metaphorical call to preparation since they said “we already have two swords” among twelve of them, and Jesus said “that’s enough,”clearly indicating that he was not actually advising them to each go sell their claims and buy swords. It was more along the lines of spiritual battle:

If you think that Jesus made statements that did not have multiple meanings or that he did not (often) speak in metaphor (when not telling parables), you don’t understand Jesus at all.

He spoke in metaphors constantly and even when saying things literally there were often layered metaphorical meanings.

If he really meant for them to all weapon up, he wouldn’t have said that two was enough for the entire group of 13.

Keep in mind I am a big time 2A guy. I just don’t believe this quote is a 2A defense quote.

practicalize 0 points ago +1 / -1

If you have to qualify something as “not likely entirely literal and more likely a metaphorical call” then you’re the one who is ignoring the context.

1
VoterIDMatters 1 point ago +1 / -0

It was a spiritual metaphor and all those dudes were martyred because he wasn’t talking about literal self-defense. That’s the context.

O_Rev 8 points ago +8 / -0

This man may single handedly make me stop calling myself a Catholic, but that would be letting him win. He should not be allowed to define my beliefs

6
kornesque 6 points ago +6 / -0

Don't. Mother Church is not defined by Her popes. It is Christ's Church and this is a corrupt man.

2

2
kornesque 2 points ago +2 / -0

Negative. I pray for his conversion. Catholicism is a mess right now because of Vatican 2, and really it started before that. The globalists know exactly what they're doing. But things will come back around

2
AnointedVisions 2 points ago +2 / -0

Then don't let him. He is a human being

5

Damn. And I thought they said the previous pope was supposed to be the antichrist or something?

This drivel sounds like globalism, 101. Sick.

The Papacy itself is the antichrist.

Popes are antichrists. Be thankful when you get one that is actually Christian.

5

You first Pope. Get rid of your armed security.

4
Butcher_bear 4 points ago +4 / -0

The pope has always been a tool of Satan, as has the entire Roman catholic religion. It teaches a false Gospel of works salvation. Salvation is not through any church, it is through the blood of Jesus Christ. The bible says "believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved". It does not say go to a church with a man wearing a dress, calling himself the blasphemous name of father, who sprinkles water on babies, confess your sins to a pedophile in a wooden box, and chant vain repetitions to be absolved of sin".

2
AZTrumpette1776 2 points ago +2 / -0

Amen. I pray for people who have yet to turn away from the pagan religion of Catholicism.

Then said he unto them, “But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.”

3
Chick-fill-eh 3 points ago +3 / -0

When I was little, one pastor called the pope the antichrist, and back then that seemed a little extreme

2
Roof_Korean 2 points ago +2 / -0

Make the pope walk 2km in Turkey or Iraq, see how far he gets. We can place bets.

The Roman Catholic pedofile cult almost destroyed my relationship w Jesus! Im a recovering Catholic who loves Jesus!

2

He’s basically the anti pope. Take what he says and reverse it.

2
Cloudy_mood 2 points ago +2 / -0

He says this while he’s protected by guards that would lay down their lives for him.

2
Bushwookiee07 2 points ago +2 / -0

Nothing new. Pope Innocent II banned the use of crossbows against Christians back in 1139. I was raised catholic, being a major fucking hypocrite is almost a prerequisite to being a leader in the church. At least from my experience.

2
Readyfront 2 points ago +2 / -0

Get bent, you agnostic socialist.

2
Formerlurker92 2 points ago +2 / -0

You first bitch. Move to my neighborhood without walls, decent cops, or a full time guard. You will have new opinions about self defense

2
keithkman 2 points ago +2 / -0

What’s even scarier is the judge Trump plans on picking says she would never go against the Pope.

It is possible for Catholics to regard the pop as evil?

1

It seems as though this faggot pipe has not been educated on Natural Law.

1

At best, this Pope just called the US Constitution “perverse logic”.

Personal and national security are the precise protections of the right to bear arms.

Once the government gives up its guns and nukes then ill give up mine how about that pope francis

1

Then you’re not very good at reading. He VERY CLEARLY states:

We need to dismantle the perverse logic that links personal and national security to the possession of weaponry

He’s not saying anything about when Jesus comes back. He’s talking about now.

Luke 22:36

He said to them, "But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one.
