Trillions have been spent on inner cities, welfare, section 8, pell grants, and special scholarships. At what point enough is enough? I live in a 70% black city. I see it everyday. It’s a cultural problem at its core and we aren’t even allowed to address it or discuss it.
That just proves that Social Welfare is not the answer. It keeps people weak. Socialists don't want empowered people. They need people with a victim mentality. BLM fits like a glove to the socialist agenda!
The conservative strategy shouldn't be to stop all welfare programs. That would result in riots, as you point out.
Conservatives need to start with the educational system in the poorest parts of the country. The simple story about giving someone a fish OR teaching someone fishing makes all the difference. A young boy, black or white, with parents on welfare, needs to see that this is not his only choice in life. The American Dream must be within grasps for those children.
We don't fight against the poor. We fight against the cynical left and their political representatives, who want to keep poor people poor.
I absolutely agree that it’s a cultural issue. One the liberal party engineered. That doesn’t mean it’s the color of skin making people do things. It’s the upbringing and environment and we should fully discuss that for all poor sections of society
"Don’t bundle people together by the color of their skin"
Too late, many of them already do. Proudly. Heard it from a boss where I work. OP is correct.
If you fail to recognize that this is the current state of affairs for many blacks, you're not helping yourself, us, or them.
I wish it didn’t take a $500 billion bribe to make that happen. I’m sick and tired of my money going towards people who hate me for being white. Black folks have received trillions in welfare over the decades, and they still scream everything is racist and biased against them.
Maybe only 10% of blacks are truly informed on politics. The rest follow what they always follow. What other group can you say “ I carry hot sauce in my handbag” like it’s some voting miracle. I love our black pedes but they will never as a block move to the republicans.
I remember when everyone said that Trump had no chance as a national populist candidate and laughed at anyone who believed it could happen.
If the Black community truly believes that President Trump is reaching out to help them, they will respond. Black community leaders have a huge influence on their votes and no Republican President has done as much or reached out as much to their community with policies that actually help them.
I think the 40% is too high, but would not be surprised at all if POTUS get's north of 20% of the Black vote.
Blacks don't vote. The few that do, have voted 90% democrat, for the last 4 decades. If we won all of the potential black votes, it really doesn't matter, because of how few there are.
If Trump wanted to pander, he should pander to the only race of people whose voting pattern is proven to be malleable. Give poor whites $500 Billion, and make a spectacle of the economic plan to help them! He could actually sway them to vote for him and their number would make a difference.
But you'll never see that. Nope! If pandering or favoritism happens, it is forbidden to be in favor of Whites!
There were 16.4 million black voters in the 2016 election. If President Trump can increase his share from 10% to 20%, it will be an additional 1.6M votes, many in swing States. It absolutely can make a difference and if he receives 40% as Rasmuessen suggests, it will result in a landslide.
President Trump's plan is not "pandering". He isn't giving $500 Billion away, we don't have the details of the plan but it's likely tied to no or low interest loans available to rebuild inner cities that have been destroyed by decades of Democrat policies and control.
Fuck your obvious racism and attempts to divide us. You would be far more comfortable at the Chans. Lots of hate there for you.
1.6M votes would make a difference, if they were all localized in a city like Chicago... but, you've got to spread that 1.6M votes across the nation. It's so diluted, that it's pointless. And not only that, any black who might change their vote to Trump probably already lives in a red district, so not likely to change the outcome of the vote at all!
16.4 million votes is pathetically low; and it's a fool's errand to think that throwing more money at them will make them change their voting habits. Like others have said, they get grants, scholarships, housing assistance, preferential treatment from all Corps who can purchase from "Minority or women owned business only"...None of that has ever mattered. And personally, i've never treated a black person with any disrespect or discrimination in my life... but remember, i'm white, so i'm a racist and need Diversity & Inclusion training at my job. It's all bullshit, stop pretending to be righteous, it'll just wear you out.
President Trump won by a total of 107,000 people in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan. He would have lost the election without these States. Blacks turned out in fewer numbers in 2016 than for Obama. Obama turnout would have resulted in a Trump loss. Gaining 10 percent more votes from Blacks in these States likely seals the deal.
The Black vote in general is critical, like it or not there are few landslides one way or the other.
If you want culture change, and we're losing the battle right now, maybe we should start thinking out of the box because we're in a battle with virtually all institutions.
Thinking outside of the box implies doing something different.
Tell me, when was the last time a politician pandered to Whites?
All we ever hear is how they'll help blacks, black this, black that...minorities, DACA, Illegals, yadda yadda yadda. Meanwhile, I'm taxed up to my fuckin eyeballs, and I don't see I never saw a red cent of stimulus in 2001, 2008, and then 2020 when an unprecedented pandemic sidelined ALL Americans... but only low-earning blacks & minorities received the most benefits.
And to your point about Pennsylvania, Wisconsin & Michigan... Black turnout will not decide those states... like I said before, black turnout could have an impact in Illinois, New York, Virginia...you get it.
We don't need huge percentages of black voters to swing elections.
I think it was round 12%, roughly. If we win that, the democrats are toast. (In a fair election.)
I don't disagree with you, OP. But, there's an element you didn't see -
Race-baiting.
The democrat/MSM complex have really mastered the art of riling up (perceived) black grievances, and uses that against whitey, but really, against conservatives.
Well then F them and F the pxssy republican leadership for not telling these people the truth. No republican ever owned a slave. The party was founded specifically to abolish (get rid of, in easy language) slavery. They should be annoying Dems, not us
Blacks just won't budge. We're throwing $500 billion away.
Trying to get blacks to vote for Trump, us like trying to jump-start a car in a scrap yard so you can get to work on time...when you have a buddy sitting in his car next to you with his car running, offering you a ride! Take the ride. Pander to whites.
True. Need to focus more on Latinos many who are actually religious and conservative. A lot of black people are hopeless. When you grew up to a welfare mom with no dad and barely speak at a 3rd grade level there is no hope for that kind of person to get redpilled. It’s a lost cause.
Whites voted in a black president twice, and then voted in Trump. That's just the last three elections, and the malleability of the White vote couldn't be more clear.
If you want to win an election, it's a numbers game. We could win all of the black vote, and it amounts to a shockingly low amount of actual votes cast. Pander to whites, and you have the potential to win in a landslide! Whites do vote based on information, and they have proven time and again to change their vote (unlike monolithic black voting that goes democrat at 90% every fucking time, despite getting nothing from democrats! Dummies!)
I don't know anyone saying 40%. I've heard 20% from quite a few, as high as 30% in a very few cases. I think you're referring to a single poll back in 2018 that gave Trump 40% approval among blacks. I don't know anyone who equated that to an expectation of the vote, as approval of Trump is a far cry from approval of republicans. Personally I expect a much higher black vote for Trump this time, but I'm thinking more in the 15% ball park, which is still enough to virtually guarantee a win, all other variables held constant.
But I have to refer back to what Kim Klacik said, we can't just abandon these populations to the Democrats, we have to keep trying to bring our message to them, chipping away, as she called it. Many of these people have never heard a conservative speak, or heard a conservative argument that wasn't a strawman presented by the media. If we just let the Democrats keep brainwashing them without even offering a counter-argument that can give them an escape from that, then of course they'll continue to be brainwashed. Even if we turn the numbers just slightly each cycle, that's still a win in the long term.
But I hope you're right. The riots are a huge X-factor. The facts are, most likely, that Trump will sway a significant proportion of black people, though.
Black people are oddly very conservative in some ways. Even liberal blacks. (They haven't been brainwashed in quite the same ways as whites, I guess.)
I agree. I know plenty of black folks who do support Trump, but I do believe they are few and far between. I also live in the south, and these folks work at the same place I do, make good money and, like me, see how much of that money is stolen by the govt. that doesn’t represent the far greater number of blacks in democrat controlled cities that are brainwashed beyond hope.
I work in an academic setting and there is no love for Trump from either blacks or Latinos (or whites, for that matter), faculty or staff. It’s a depressing environment.
the problem is not black people, the problem is corrupt black leaders like sharpton and jackson selling out thier own people to keep their pockets lined
This is some Mitt Romney bullshit. "Oh these people will never vote for me, so I can ignore them, which is what I'd prefer to do anyway since I don't understand how to talk to them."
Hillary did the same thing with working-class whites in the Midwest.
You can't write off people you don't relate to as irrelevant. They vote. They also share content online, patronize businesses, have kids, pay taxes, live lives.
We want to pull the best aspects of different subcultures together into the great American melting pot. You can't do that if your message to one of the most significant subcultures is "Go away, you don't matter."
I can accept that as a practical strategy you might want to focus on another demographic for a time but it's plain stupid to write off another demographic. You provide no reasons for your opinion that black people are somehow inveterate. If their voting dem is due to culture, well culture can be changed. Black people have had strong families in the past, why couldn't they in the future. The fact that black people don't vote Republican might very well be because of idiotic opinions like yours leading to a lack of outreach to the black community. So in summary -- fuck off.
At least we can take those 12% who respect hard work and are intelligent not to buy MSM bs. They are probably much more based. If Democrats take the other 88% who are uninformed, violent, unintelligent, lazy, they will rot by itself eventually.
So what is your proposal? Tell back people to get bent? It doesn’t cost anything to remind all people that what is good for the country is good for their demographic—Which ever demographic they identify with.
There are plenty of successful blacks that are persona non grata within the black community too. The dems have inner city blacks brainwashed and bribed with their socialist way of governing. They actually created two cultures in this country. One for those who will be successful based on their own merit (black, white or any other color) and those who will live off someone else’s success.
I won’t accept that; nothing is “forever” and the reality is that more and more black Americans are waking up and it will snowball eventually.
My fear is actually that it will happen too fast and that expectations of same ole same ole will be thrust on the conservative movement who will cave to pressure and reward socialism's ideology in the name of inclusion.
Don’t bundle people together by the color of their skin. Also this stupid tendency of the site of typing “jogger” on everything is doing us no favors.
The Left has perfected how to create generational dependency. They are now trying to export that to the rest of us.
The leading indicator is the % Single Parent Households (i.e. broken families).
Yeah? Just try and take their welfare away. You haven’t seen any real riots yet.
The conservative strategy shouldn't be to stop all welfare programs. That would result in riots, as you point out.

Jogger is a pretty funny meme
It’s hilarious
Go back to Reddit if you are so offended.
President Trump will get more votes from our Black community than any Republican in recent history.
At a time when we're making the tent larger, you are suggesting it's hopeless. Low energy.
We'll see
Excellent point. Pandering has never helped conservatives es.
Yea, I was surprised President Trump didn't get more votes in the mid-terms. Oh wait....
I wish it didn’t take a $500 billion bribe to make that happen. I’m sick and tired of my money going towards people who hate me for being white. Black folks have received trillions in welfare over the decades, and they still scream everything is racist and biased against them.

Fundamentally incompatible with Anglo Saxon protestant culture.

I think we're getting there. This election will be telling. White backlash.
Similar things happened with Nixon in '72. The media was hard against him, similar to Trump.
It was a Nixon slam dunk in the election. He ran on law and order. He carried every state save one. (His opponent's home state.)

Why is every conservatives plan to appeal to any racial group except white people?
Excellent question. When was the last time you heard ANY politician talk about the White Community? It’s always black, hispanic, asian, and so on.
Demographics.
Sadly.
I love my fellow white people. But probably 40% of us are just as cucked as welfare blacks,
Whites voted in a black president twice, and then voted in Trump. That's just the last three elections, and the malleability of the White vote couldn't be more clear.

I’m totally fine with reaching out to black Americans, I just don’t see why we have to bribe them with a $500 billion promise.
You are completely wrong here. Our community is waking up, and while communists may vote Democrat forever, blacks will not.
I do not agree with your 'reality'.
We’ll just have to see what happens. My money is on 85%+ of the black vote going for Biden. Would you take the opposite side of that bet?
I don't gamble but I think Trump will set a record for blacks voting Republican. 30% +
Doubtful.
But I hope you're right. The riots are a huge X-factor. The facts are, most likely, that Trump will sway a significant proportion of black people, though.

I disagree. You can’t fully put the blame on so-called black leaders. If there’s that many people stupid enough to follow along, then that’s on them.
This is some Mitt Romney bullshit. "Oh these people will never vote for me, so I can ignore them, which is what I'd prefer to do anyway since I don't understand how to talk to them."

Even if 40% of black voters pull the lever for trump, it’s not going to carry over to the next election. No one else is trump.
It's not about the person, it's about the ideology. The party of small business.
Yeah, assuming the ideology sticks around/republicans don’t revert back to losing with dignity at every opportunity.
I can accept that as a practical strategy you might want to focus on another demographic for a time but it's plain stupid to write off another demographic. Propagandize them and they will go in any direction.

Eh, probably, but I'll never attack GOETUS for TRYING
Blacks have been on the Democrat Plantation since 1936 with the New Deal.
They stepped off one Democrat Plantation and right onto another.
For all you young whippersnappers out there. I have been hearing the same crying sounds and victim noises from our darker friends for over 50 years.
They will never change. This will never end. Live your lives without guilt.
It will never end cuz playing a victim is career choice, and it pays.
