An antipope is someone who opposes the pope and decides to make an attempt to becoming the Bishop of Rome (pope) themselves. There hasn't been an antipope since the 1400s, but there have been some modern attempts which aren't considered antipopes because they don't have a significant following. If we need someone to go against Pope Francis, I wouldn't mind this guy.
Depends on the Catholic -- ask a Catholic confirmed pre-Vatican II and they will tell you there is only one pope Benedict -- who holds the position until the day God calls him home.
Ask a post-Vatican II Catholic and they will tell you there are two and one is retired. But they don't understand anything about the religion anyway so there could be a dozen popes and they would accept it because they wouldn't know the difference.
In short -- the former were required to memorize catechism and worship God. The latter sang guitar masses and thinks their religion is about social justice instead of about God.
And the Pope wants us to give up our guns. How is there two living popes anyway?
Virgano should name himself the Anti-Pope. And demand that the original Pope step down.

Ratzinger was too conservative for the Lavender mafia, is my guess. I think the official story was health issues.
Lightning struck The Vatican twice, just hours after Pope after Pope Benedict XVI's sudden resignation.

Two ways to interpret that: a good sign to herald in the new pope, or a bad sign to warn against the new pope.
The problem with lightning strikes is that nobody speaks lightning.
Well that was ominous!
