I have always found it really weird when people say "Obama was/is articulate" . The I started hearing people say, "he/she is articulate" when referring to "minorities." Is the assumption that minorities cannot talk? Or express their feelings/ideas?

Not minorities--only blacks. And this is because tribalism runs very strong in black culture. They do not reward members who learn standard English because they want to enforce the divide between the two supposed "cultures", the black and the white.

Those who want to get ahead, and deviate by learning proper grammar, pronunciation and syntax, are ostracized and subjected to intense pressure to get back in line, lest they are cast off for good as the "whitey's 'house-ni**er'" or 'Uncle Toms'.

The vicious aspect of this race-norming is that white leftists use the phrase "articulate" in order to spotlight a black who's become 'uppity' so that the rest of the black community can focus its fury on that individual and drag him back into the fold.

It's a terrible thing that leftists are doing just so that they can maintain power at the expense of fellow-Americans, but blacks understand the terms of the contract: they allow themselves to be used to maintain white leftists in power, and white leftists pay them off with welfare and Obamaphones.
