So you wanna know how backwards the USPS IS... I hate these idiots so I refuse to own a mailbox, ITS GONE AND SO IS RHW JUNK MAIL.... my new problem is they accept packages for delivery from AMAZON!!!! Well guess what! The INBRED MTHRFCKRS REFUSE TO DROP PACKAGES WITHOUT A MAILBOX!.... I just want to tell you all, they have a million tricks to not deliver mail... for example they might all go on strike of vacation on key election days to hinder the vote... DEMOCRATS SUCK DDDDDD

Because the mailbox is the delivery point. If you refuse to have a secure delivery point, then that's just how it works then. Your address is also the thing used to make sure you can vote. If you want to have no mailbox to mark your address, that's on you.

I've ranted about this at length previously: USPS "service" in my area is consistently bad, they often mis-deliver my packages to neighbors or random locations. FedEx is much worse, along with mis-deliveries they tend to destroy the package and/or its contents. UPS is a little better, they deliver accurately more often and on occasion the packages are in good shape.

I wouldn't trust any of them to deliver a brick on time to the right location, much less a fragile or important/irreplaceable item. Trusting them with Presidential Election Ballots? Preposterous!

I feel your pain! But to deny service because of a stupid box not being at the address when the rest of the world delivers packages this way proves how WORTHLESS THEY ARE! It’s 2020 people

They are denying a secure location to leave the package. I see this all the time everyone has the "I am the unique case in the country and I should be the exception to the rule." If your house is far off the road, many people number the mailbox to mark the address. Official government business, certified mail, etc, have notices left at the mailbox. You can go up and down the list of reasons from rural to urban mailboxes. The uniform policy - maintain a proper mailbox for service. That's the basic requirement, across the country.

On the "bright" side, your mail still has as good chance as any to find its way to you. (Having a mailbox with a clearly-marked address does not appear to be much help in my case.)

And... you never know what kind of interesting/valuable stuff the neighbors have ordered that might be delivered to you instead!

A lot are unionized. Teamsters.

Teamsters? No. There are actually several different unions for the various crafts.

"The USPS has just found 150 000 ballots for Joe Biden!"

"150 001 ballots were just found thrown in the trash!"

We'll show you ours if you show us yours.
