I'm gonna go out on a limb and say TheDonald.win, being privately funded, is just having capacity issues and they are expanding as necessary. AKA expect 11/3 to be a complete cluster fuck here :D (but for good reasons).
DDoS attacks are impossible to stop fully in an open internet due to how easy they are to do.
Couldn't upgrading the servers make it way more resistant these attacks? Also upgrading the algorithm to find DDoS-ers? On a similar note, can any pede inform me of a way to donate to TD.win?
The only way to beat them is to have more compute power and bandwidth. CloudFlare helps with that a bit... but I don't know if I'd exactly trust CloudFlare, they're a pretty lefty company.
Agree with others. Seems like a bandwidth/server issue. Assuming the site scales, I sure hope something can be done to increase capacity for election day. Even if it means spending a small fortune for the month of November. If there were a way, I'm sure we would all more than bankroll the costs.
I can't imagine having to watch regular network news for coverage on election day. I don't want to go back to that!
Except for watching the anchors cry and REEEEEEE at another Trump victory, that is.
I can help. I have cloud infrastructure background. I have a baby, ao I don't have a ton of time, but I should be able to put together a cloud DB node and some web servers that scale on demand. Can't DDOS AWS. It has too much compute. We don't have to put all our eggs in one basket either. Have a db and some servers in google cloud and azure too.

Yeah I don't know if it's DDOS attacks. I think it's the traffic.
Mods should update us. Been having problems all morning.
*month
This needs to be sorted out before Nov. 3! I have to be with all of you on Election Night 2020!
And the nights leading up to 11/3!!
AJ warned that the Dems already have an "internet kill switch," ready to go. 2020electioncenter.com for more
Lol, so does GEOTUS. And I'd trust his to work a lot better.
It's not DDOS. This web host just sucks for not having a large enough bandwidth for the amount of people that visit.
The DDOS will last days. Calling it now.
These latest attacks are just tests, Mark my words.
We can also have backup servers... More than happy to pool in funds if thats needed
Someone tell us if there is a way to chip in to defend TD.win!
They don't accept donations.
Dammit, we know they sure as hell need it. But I can understand where they are coming from.
I’m here, and can help!
I’m a network architect.
Cloud deployment guy here. Will work for dank memes.
Ya! See!!

How do the ddos get past cloudfare?!
I hate to say it but I'm expecting this place to go down somewhat permanently BEFORE the election...
There is another.
??
In my 4username. Not for the faint of heart. Unfiltered news like drinking from a fire hose.
No faint heart here!

I'm sure they're already doing that... they're probably getting hit by 100 Gbps+ DDoS attacks in addition to normal traffic.
