It’s somewhat frightening that many people here are viewing GEOTUS’s Platinum Plan as a purely race-based plan that solely helps black Americans.

While it is true that there are a few initiatives specifically intended for black Americans, most of the plan is intended for everyone, not just minorities.

Some context:

GEOTUS recently announced his 500 Billion $ “Platinum Plan” at a black American conference. Due to the wording of this plan, some people think that this 500B is only going to black communities, somewhat similar to affirmative action. This couldn’t be further from the truth.

Back to it:

Despite it’s intentions, over 95% of the Platinum Plan is for all Americans, such as general infrastructure spending, tax cuts for businesses, reduced healthcare costs, profitable trade deals, criminal justice reform, access to telemedicine, advancing lending relationships, apprenticeship programs targeted for growing industries, collaborating with cities to help combat substance abuse, bringing back jobs, investing ~$20B toward broadband and internet access, delivering price transparency in healthcare, examining barriers to employment, etc. Other plans specifically address low-income communities, but not specifically any race.

Actually, looking at the plan, very few points actually specifically target black Americans. These points are as follows: Connecting small, mainly minority institutions to scientific/engineering research development, creating an African American affairs dept. to help find new solutions to spur development, and making Juneteenth a national holiday.

Overall, I’d say you guys are being over-paranoid. Take a chill pill. It’s GEOTUS, after all.
