It typically happens when there is a gathering in a parking lot. People usually at least signal that they want to leave first instead of just suddenly plowing through people.

The car was standing still. There was no reason to drive through the people. They switched drivers and the driver was angry. When the driver was walking around the car no one touched him.

People should not block you from leaving your parking spot but it doesn't give you the right to drive over them.

That doesn't mean the driver should run over people. The people need to provide a path to exit. Don't trap people.
