They would have let her through slowly I think, noone was banging on her car. They should not have surrounded the front of her car but if she had honked I assumed most would part.
We'll never know, but I agree that if she had just started easing forward slowly (possibly while tooting horn in a non-asshole-ish way), the crowd most likely would have made way for her without incident.

They would have let her through YOU THINK...the video clearly shows people standing in front of the car and blocking the path.
