Nah. I’m consistent in my belief that the road is for cars, and the sidewalk is for people. If the road has been shut down for a permitted event, then you can walk in the road. The only way I’ll be enraged by this is if either the police didn’t shut down the road and they were supposed to, or the car drove around police barricades. Otherwise I am going to be consistent and you should too.
Update: I’m seeing this was apparently in a parking lot next to a roadway. I’m somewhat willing to give the benefit of the doubt and be supportive of the pedestrians in this situation, but my previous point still stands.
