Obviously we have repeatedly said if your car gets stopped by an angry mob hit the gas. Don't want to seem like a hypocrite. But there are some notable differences between this and the other scenarios:
Nobody was stopping the car though. They could have inched forward and used the horn. People may have gotten out of the way and let the moron through. But instead they got in and gunned it imediately.
As far as I can tell NO-ONE even touched the car until after they started plowing.
Correct. The driver was also not the original person driving that car but instead someone who was attacking people before getting in and gunning it.
This appears to be a parking-lot, not the middle of the road.
Correct. Pedestrians have the right of way in a parking lot and you need to make an attempt to allow them to move. You can't just gun it.
I don't know what lead up to this, but the car was already stopped and you can see the person get into there car and almost immediately hit the gas. Didn't honk or nudge forward or anything. Just went from zero to plowing without warning.
