It is really sad, too. I replaced the kitchen faucet for some family friends recently. The wife has Alzheimers. She was telling me about the two new puppies they got several weeks ago, and I was confused because I don't personally know them well but thought they only had two dogs.
Then the two dogs came out before I left and she said, here are the new puppies! The ones they've had for 4 or 5 years now.
Breaks my heart to think about losing someone like that, while they're still alive.
