San Francisco’s program to house the homeless in hotels is stretching its already strapped budget, with monthly costs topping $18 million, although the federal government is expected to pay for 75% of it.

Fuck, this is reminiscent of what Canada did with Syrian refugees. Instead of waiting for actual affordable housing to be available they jammed thousands of them into hotels. Where they still reside to this day. All on taxpayer money.

My guess is the hotel rooms will be virtually destroyed inside...filth, drug paraphernalia, trash, vomit, feces, urine...disgusting to contemplate. Major renovation work will have to be done to make the rooms usable for paying guests. That bill will come due as well, or, if that cost exceeds the building's value, it will be abandoned.

I get that there are other counties. But this is ridiculous. The Bay Area is one of the most expensive places to live. So housing homeless in hotels will obviously eat up the funds.
When you subsidize something like this, you get more of it. Billions and billions of dollars spent trying to fix homelessness and it's worse now than it's ever been. Libs don't understand you can't fix problems just by throwing money at them.
