A VA doctor (friend for 20+ years) said if this were a real pandemic there would be a soldier walking down every street in America with orders to shoot anyone that stepped out of their house. The HR department goes through all sorts of olympic gymnastics making up titles for people so that they can feel special. These titles are all they have. It makes them feel important and like they have some modicum of power.

No, information leaking into the public domain does not render it unclassified. This is repeatedly drilled into people with security clearances.
When you are granted a security clearance, you sign an NDA that is always in effect. Downloading classified information that is publicly available is a misdemeanor, because you are "mishandling" it by downloading it over a unsecured network, and storing it on an unsecured device.

They actually aren't just of the soft sciences. Hard sciences have to subscribe to the same sort of leadership, and would need to get grant money the same old way. It's not unreasonable to think that a scientist could lose out on funding if he supports the wrong opinions publicly.
Furthermore, people in all sciences tend to listen more to the experts ime. But what happens when the people positioned as experts are just plain wrong? If your trust in self-styled higher authorities has not been broken, you will believe them before you try to think over controversial topics by yourself.
Hard science must fall back to math and logic, and any PhD defense will be strongly attacked on those principles alone. The only exception or controversy is when you start challenging well understood fundamental laws of physics, but that's very rare and even then solid reproducible evidence outweighs theories.
Another exception might be if something challenges a business interest and the business is funding the university. I wouldn't consider theories based on statistical trends to be hard science, but many of these run afoul of special interests.

When you are granted a security clearance, you sign an NDA that is always in effect. Downloading classified information that is publicly available is a misdemeanor, because you are "mishandling" it by downloading it over a unsecured network, and storing it on an unsecured device.

Yes, anyone holding a security clearance is banned from reading any classified information that they have not been specifically cleared to read. It's not just Wikileaks material. The thought is: Don't like it, then give up your clearance. Someone should tell that to Brennan, Comey, et al.
Academics, on the other hand, are theoretically under no such restrictions.
Even if you have never signed the NDA for a security clearance, there are still restrictions under the Espionage Act. But, it is a very high bar to meet.
Without a security clearance, you could assert the defense that it was already public, unless you did something like download it and hand it to a hostile foreign agent. That establishes intent.

The same happened with the comments section of one of the tech news site I've frequented for years. Old users would sometimes lament how it was once a place filled with informative, critical and analytical discussions and almost no political posts. Now many posts are just click-bait and many of the "analytical" posts are from leftists who use cherry-picked facts and logical fallacies in arguments to forward their agendas, and their friends are there to upvote them and downvote the opposition.
Though in the past year I've noticed an increase in the number of based posts with lots of upvotes. At least half the replies are usually pretty vitriolic though.

They are "soft science" people ie not scientists.
They actually aren't just of the soft sciences. Hard sciences have to subscribe to the same sort of leadership, and would need to get grant money the same old way. It's not unreasonable to think that a scientist could lose out on funding if he supports the wrong opinions publicly.
Furthermore, people in all sciences tend to listen more to the experts ime. But what happens when the people positioned as experts are just plain wrong? If your trust in self-styled higher authorities has not been broken, you will believe them before you try to think over controversial topics by yourself.
Hard science must fall back to math and logic, and any PhD defense will be strongly attacked on those principles alone. The only exception or controversy is when you start challenging well understood fundamental laws of physics, but that's very rare and even then solid reproducible evidence outweighs theories.
Another exception might be if something challenges a business interest and the business is funding the university. I wouldn't consider theories based on statistical trends to be hard science, but many of these run afoul of special interests.

All anthropological subdisciplines are tainted at the foundation due to the terminal cucking of the science by Franz Boaz in the early 1900s. All real anthropological science since then has been shunned in favor of ideology.

Not in my experience. There are some women there (or at least there were, I haven't looked lately) who understand AWALT and they are doing what they can to own their shit. They are the best gamble a guy can find. They would not be a replacement at all for a guy owning his shit though.
I think you are overstating the case to say everyone there are 'very pathetic'; the atmosphere there is very different from MRP, but the best women there have their head on straight. When these people say "we must censor them or they might influence people" what they are really saying is that they are concerned that reasonable points might make sense to people who see them.
Most reasonable people aren't going to read 4chan or whatever and come out hating black people or Jews. They're not going to come out thinking that women are inferior.
Upon examination of the facts though, they may come out considering the possibility that women are no longer oppressed in western society, that whatever the reason crime is higher in the black community it is up to them and their families to put a stop to it and nobody else can, that turning the west into the world's orphanage will destroy the only beacon of freedom in the world, that some cultures (that is, practices and learned behaviors) are in fact inferior to others.
