They can simply skip the Judiciary Committee and go directly to the floor vote. There's nothing that they wouldn't say in the Judiciary that the Dems wouldn't say in the floor vote.

Senate opens October 12; allow 1 week, move cloture; vote on October 19.

That's all that needs to happen.

Nowhere in the Constitution does it say the President's SCOTUS picks (or even his cabinet appointees, for that matter) HAVE to go through a committee process.
