It looks like a lever action that you cock with your pinkie.

Looks like it, but it's just a really nice brass grip. It's a muzzle loader, so I have to go through the whole clean barrel, pour measure of powder down muzzle, wad bullet, put bullet in muzzle, slam bullet down muzzle, prime lock with percussion cap, then I can fire. I have rather large hands, and the grip is surprisingly roomy. I can comfortably put my pinky through the back ring, my middle finger through the hook under the trigger guard, and use my pointer finger for the trigger. It feels great. Also, that rear trigger is to "set" the main trigger, which gives it a feather-light pull. When you have it "set," you practically only need to think about it to fire it!

Acquired one of these at an estate auction a few days ago. Hawken Thompson Center .45 muzzle loader. It's in near pristine condition. Only one other person bid on it, and I got it for a very reasonable price. Can't wait to take it out to the range! The only differences I can see between mine and the image are brass sling mounts on the lower portion of the stock and the foremost ramrod holder.
