Nice pistols. Kimbers are nice guns and reasonably priced considering their build quality which is about as you can get without getting a custom shop hand fit model. Then you get into the realm of Ed Brown, Wilson combat, etc.
My friend has an Ed Brown 1911 and one would expect for that kind of money it would be flawless, but I was kind of disgusted at the horrible checkering on the cocobolo grips. As someone who does custom checkering, I couldn’t believe a $3k handgun would have cutter overruns like his had.
