Copy-Pasting from another comment:

We got her from a rescue so didn't know her background. did a genetic test so we could be aware of any diseases to look out for. Here's the result.

51% German Shepherd 16% Australian Shepherd 16% American Pit Bull The rest = Super Mutt

She keeps me busy.

Had a retired Army K9 Malinois

In her prime, she would scare the hell out of squirrels and birds. She would climb trees. Anything angled more than a pine tree she would scale.

Would bark (yip actually) like an asylum escapee and run like lightning when playing. One call of her name, Shadow, and she’s tear ass right back to me, usually past me! (Haha daddy catch meee!)

If something alerted her, quiet as the grave when she closed in. When she was in alert mode, if she barked a warning, the target KNEW they were being barked at. Even in a crowd at a distance.

Rest well Shadow. Run laps on the rainbow bridge. Run those squirrels till I get there!

Why did you have to cut onions at the end? :(....

Yep, mine does the same game. Comes right back when you call, but doesn't let you catch her.

Glad you had a good experience with your doggo and gave her a good life.
