Sadly, I talked with a midget who had an illegal SBR and who insisted the cops would never go after him because it was just a necessary medical accommodation for him. His county sheriff was a friend of his father, knew about it, and didn't mind.

This is very close my mossberg setup. My shell carrier on the side is metal and the light is side mounted. Otherwise, very similar.

That's a helluva nice build! I would probably go with a side folding stock and ditch the optics but otherwise great build. I will be checking back for the parts list. And the grey finish...is that some type of cerro coat?
