If this gets to SCOTUS then we'll see ACB's true colors, one way or the other.

We gonna just sit back and watch this happen?

Trumps reelection isn't going to fix this level of fuckery

76
Acala 76 points ago +77 / -1

His reelection is key to fixing this. Look what Trump has done to the courts in his first term. Likely another SCOTUS in his second term. This man can appeal and take it to the supreme court where our judges can make sure it never happens again.

Chick-fill-eh 51 points ago +51 / -0

No, but the election determines how we go about fixing it.

Umm, it's quite possible that he is AntiFa. He's a career criminal who would fit right in with them.

Yeah, pretty torn on this too. I mean, he could be a Trump supporter, but god damn I just think dying your hair is stupid as shit. That's my opinion, and I know we have pedes who dye their hair. I just imagine someone with goofy as colors holding a decent job either.. I guess it's a culture thing, I don't even know.

Also an armed robber and a murderer?

https://wjla.com/news/crime/shawn-marshall-myers-charged-in-2004-thanksgiving-murder-63054

Oh hey, I wonder if this conviction means his suspended sentence from the armed robbery and murder will mean that he ends up serving the full 15 years? And what's the bit about "failure to register as a sex offender" that's kinda thrown in at the end?

https://www.thechesapeaketoday.com/2020/03/30/dirtbag-roundup-ex-con-sex-offender-shawn-myers-sent-to-the-slammer-for-a-year-for-hosting-a-group-of-wuhan-wahoos-in-multiple-bonfires-when-charged-for-violating-emergency-order-was-wheelman-for-the/

In a plea deal on Sept. 12, 2012, Myers entered an Alford Plea to robbery and the other charges were dropped. An Alford Plea acknowledged that the prosecution had enough evidence to convince a jury that he was guilty and therefore he was found guilty and sentenced to 15 years in prison with the entire sentence suspended with five years of supervised probation.

Myers entered a guilty plea to conspiracy to commit robbery on March 3, 2009, and was sentenced to fifteen years in prison with all but five years suspended.

On March 9, 2009, Myers pleaded guilty to failing to register as a sex offender in Charles County Circuit Court and was sentenced to 121 days in the Charles County Jail.

I appreciate the information pede. When I posted this, I only had the article and a quick search only pulled up one more. If ALL he was doing to cause the arrest was peaceably assembling, I’m still pissed off, regardless of his past or political affiliation. I do think there might be more to the story though, but if it is really what the news article says, it is unconstitutional as fuck.

3
PinochetIsMyHero 3 points ago +3 / -0

Oh, I completely agree, these "rules" are unconstitutional. I'm just saying, he is not /ourguy/. And I would not be at all surprised if the cops just used the parties as an excuse to get him off the streets anyway.

6
Daguy11 6 points ago +6 / -0

They were celebrating this on reddit

3
PinochetIsMyHero 3 points ago +3 / -0

We should tell them the rest of the story, then they can go berserk over the arrest of a sex offender and armed robber. But he's not black, so AntiFa/BLM won't riot over him.

https://www.thechesapeaketoday.com/2020/03/30/dirtbag-roundup-ex-con-sex-offender-shawn-myers-sent-to-the-slammer-for-a-year-for-hosting-a-group-of-wuhan-wahoos-in-multiple-bonfires-when-charged-for-violating-emergency-order-was-wheelman-for-the/

Looks like something that Cuomo's henchmen would charge someone for. Fuck these tyrants.

5
Olds77 5 points ago +5 / -0

They're letting all sorts of violent criminals and sex offenders out so they can throw folks in jail simply for exercising their constitutional rights. Meanwhile all sorts of large, violent gatherings have their most violent participants get off with minimal charges if they're even charged never mind the quarantine restrictions entirely.

2
PinochetIsMyHero 2 points ago +2 / -0

BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

It's funny because, guess what, your angel is a sex offender who was also given a 15 year "suspended sentence" for his participation in an armed robbery and murder. I wonder if he's going to have to serve that suspended sentence thanks to his parties. A comment on another board I read leads me to think that his "sex offense" involved underaged girls. Well, at least it wasn't five-year-old boys like the scumbag in Kenosha.

https://www.thechesapeaketoday.com/2020/03/30/dirtbag-roundup-ex-con-sex-offender-shawn-myers-sent-to-the-slammer-for-a-year-for-hosting-a-group-of-wuhan-wahoos-in-multiple-bonfires-when-charged-for-violating-emergency-order-was-wheelman-for-the/

1
Olds77 1 point ago +1 / -0

Are you drunk? I never asserted he was an angel and had no idea who he was and that wasn't in the article I responded to. I assumed since it wasn't mentioned in this post this was an isolated case and was horrified that an emergency order violation that is at odds with a persons constitutional rights could lead to such a stiff sentence. He should have been in jail sooner and longer for his multiple offenses, but throwing parties is the absolute least of the terrible stuff this guy has done and probably not what he should be prosecuted for.

Someone on reddit told me to stop fear mongering. There is no lockdown. lol

4
PinochetIsMyHero 4 points ago +4 / -0

Just to be clear, I think it's bullshit that he was arrested over parties. But I also think he shouldn't have been out of prison yet, seeing as how he plea-bargained his involvement in an armed robbery and murder (apparently he was the getaway driver for a group who tried to rob a bartender carrying home the night's receipts) down to a 15-year suspended sentence.

Oh, and then there's his "failure to register as a sex offender", which leads me to think there's quite a lot more going on behind that.

https://www.thechesapeaketoday.com/2020/03/30/dirtbag-roundup-ex-con-sex-offender-shawn-myers-sent-to-the-slammer-for-a-year-for-hosting-a-group-of-wuhan-wahoos-in-multiple-bonfires-when-charged-for-violating-emergency-order-was-wheelman-for-the/

Anyway, I guess I'll stop spamming the thread with the info.

I remember that in late March, all my lefty and liberal friends assured me that it was just two weeks to flatten the curve. No one would be arrested, fined or imprisoned, they said. The liberal left is naive, stupid and has no idea how deeply ingrained fascism is within the Democrat Party.

3
dahdahdah_dahditdah 3 points ago +3 / -0

So will he be released after society admits the whole thing dragged on well past its true danger level only due to political machinations?

Or is this really about thoughtcrime, the one unforgivable sin?

4
PinochetIsMyHero 4 points ago +4 / -0

He probably is going to have to serve out the fifteen year suspended sentence that he was given for armed robbery and murder. In fairness, though, since he's also a registered sex offender, this is probably a good thing.

https://www.thechesapeaketoday.com/2020/03/30/dirtbag-roundup-ex-con-sex-offender-shawn-myers-sent-to-the-slammer-for-a-year-for-hosting-a-group-of-wuhan-wahoos-in-multiple-bonfires-when-charged-for-violating-emergency-order-was-wheelman-for-the/

“It’s not like the police just swooped in there and said you’re going to jail. They gave him a warning.

Let me check the Bill of Rights a moment . . . nope, nope. Don't see anything about 1A rights being suspended when a warning is given prior to their suspension.

200k dead are not from parties, that's retarded, big majority of dead is because of nursing homes. At this point Covid death rate is same as flu if you're under 70 years old.

He needs to appeal, and get paid damages. Not only a party is a peaceful assembly, its done at your property.

17
militarysnoopy 17 points ago +18 / -1

13k* per the CDC

9
kag-2020- 9 points ago +10 / -1

Exactly. Dying from isn't the same thing as dying after being tested with something. Millions have tested positive, I'd be surprised if less than 100 million have had it. 200k dying from a pool of over 100 million over a 7 month period is statistically very normal.

14
Pederrr 14 points ago +14 / -0
