Had some 50 year old black woman at the range notice me drooling as I watched her firing one of those. Little bit later she loads it, hands it over and says "light it up!"
The Taurus Judge was first out, followed by the Smith & Wesson Governor.
Both are revolvers chambered for .45 Colt (often referred to as Long Colt), .410 shotshell (2 1/2", not 3"), and .45acp (Automatic Colt Pistol) too with the included moon clip(s). The Governor has six shot capacity, and I believe that the Judge is a five-shot.
Well, you have a thumb release that allows the cylinder to swing out giving access to all six chambers. So as fast as you can push a cartridge in to each chamber and close the cylinder.
Of course, there are speed loaders where all six cartridges are held in a temporary magazine. In that case you drop all six cartridges at the same time. So, with practice, a couple of seconds.
There is very little felt recoil. Especially with the steel-framed versions. More mass means less inertia to overcome. However if you upgrade to .454 casul (Raging Judge), now you're getting some recoil.
My light-weight scandium-framed Governor provides far less kick than my .44 Rem Mag. SuperBlackhawk.
They are great!
My Dad has had one for years. Shoots .45 and short .410 shotgun rounds
With the .410, you can shoot a 10’ spread from 10’ away.
Basically, reach in the car and your fucking upper half is Swiss cheese.
Can also shoot .410 slugs I believe too?
Its a gd beast.
Yeah, definitely Long Colt (defender-type hollow points drastically moreso) over .410 slugs for stopping power. That said, you can get pretty creative with the .410 shotshells if you get a Mech Jr. press and do your own reloading.
Well the law states that literally anything happens as a result of an attempted robbery is directly your fault. Or maybe it was only personal injury? I just know if you go say rob walmart for example and the lady behind you has a heart attack and dies because you scared the shit out of her, you are liable and prosecutable for her death as well as the robbery. I feel the same logic should apply to property damage as well.... I wouldn’t have been firing this gun in my house if I wasn’t being robbed...
I feel like there's gotta be more to that story. Like maybe he actually lived there or something and was robbing his roommate? IDK. I have heard the story and I know it's true I just feel like there are more details. At least, I hope there are.
There was a case of that here in Canada, it got up to the Federal Appeals court and the appeals court nullified the ruling and imposed a penalty against the person. I'm pretty sure it went like this, 'revoked the monetary claim for injury. Imposed punishment for B&E(entering a dwelling house with occupants inside) and possession of unlicensed firearm.' I'll see if I can find the case here if you want. Pretty sure the original judge was "force to retire" after the case got flipped in appeal.
In the US, I know there was a case where someone fell through a skylight at a high school and sued. They weren't trying to B&E though, but change the position of the spotlight because they were playing football or basketball at night. Rather the person was trespassing.
edit: To add some extra stuff, possession of an unlicensed gun is bad, really bad. It can go one of two ways, you can get hit with a summery conviction(misdemeanor) or indictable offence(felony), using in a crime heavily aggravates it. Attempting a B&E w/people inside usually results if the maximum applicable by law, which is 10 years.
It is not up to the homeowner in most places though, it is up to the District Attorney's prosecutors in most jurisdictions in the US.
A citizen can voluntarily press or drop civil charges against another citizen to obtain a monetary settlement, but nothing involving any type of incarceration.
Often the DA will consult with the victim of a crime, and many times the DA will honor their wishes. But prosecutors are the ones that make the final decision on charges.
IMO, this is one of the most misunderstood areas of how the law works for people that have not had any personal experience getting arrested and/or charged with a crime.
Most people, IME, think whatever charge the police officer books the arrest under is what will be charged in court, because that often ends up being the case, but it's far from a rule.
The police can arrest you and recommend whatever charges they want, it is up to the DA to determine if you are actually going to be prosecuted, in most jurisdictions at least. There are of course exceptions, different customs, and weird quirks in different state's laws and customs. For instance, Louisiana is still technically under French common law on the books, IIRC. But Louisiana is like a different country, all their rules seem to be just a little bit different.
Don't ever tangle with the police in Louisiana. Especially New Orleans PD. They have been dealing with tons of crime and masses of drunk assholes since Jesus left Chicago. From what I could tell every single one of them ran out of fucks to give a very long time ago.
I'd pay good money to see a few dozen NOPD Cavalry Cops on horseback in Portland. They'd sort that shit out quick smart. Portland's worst night of rioting was basically a slow Wednesday during Mardi Gras for NOPD.
This is such a cool looking gun, I've always wanted one. For the shotgun effect, and I recently learned it also shoots colt 45 ammo.
Sadly though, I already own a 357 magnum revolver and my next purchase has to have the magazine capacity necessary to deter a mob of violent communists.
I reload my own custom shotshells, and like the ladypede who posted earlier in this thread, I run a mix of cartridges/shotshells in my Governor, which by-the-way is my daily carry piece most of the time. Except when I need to go slim, then it's a compact .45acp semi-auto pistol.
I usually lead with a shotshell and what amounts to #6 shot, then three Long Colt Defender Hollow Points, back to stacked disks with and couple of of buck balls, then a custom surprise or two that have been thoroughly experimented with.
I would buy one but I hear so many negative things about Taurus revolvers. I'd definitely buy a S&W governor if they made one with a larger frame and barrel like the Raging Judge.
I got my mitts on several hundred of them a few years ago. All gone now... Gun Club, Gun Shows, based individuals...I spread the wealth. Actually, I gave out about fifty of 'em at a Trump Rally back in the spring of 2016 in Milford New Hampshire.
That looks like my 45, I would only use it in close quarters where stopping an intruder immediately is required. Only good for five rounds in that environment due to reloading time.
I use it only for my extended home as defined by my State.
Order in the court! Here comes da Judge! A Judges' self defense in case the bailiff loses control of a situation in the courtroom. P.S. a long .45 hollow point is a devastating damage round.
Hijacking to say that I just saw the 60 Minutes preview during the Titans game ( yes I am watching the China propaganda sue me ) and they said a new report has found that the border wall will supposedly fail due to erosion? Anyone know anything?
One section during construction blew down because of 60mph gusts of wind but the cement hadnt even set(or been poured?), that is probably what this shit is gonna bring up.
Had some 50 year old black woman at the range notice me drooling as I watched her firing one of those. Little bit later she loads it, hands it over and says "light it up!"
I doubt shes voting Obiden.
Light it up son, that's high energy
There's something magical about a revolver that is also a shotgun.
That black women is cool.
Can she adopt me? I have parents but my question stands.
Next time you see her ask her which judge is better, hers or RBG.
ACB FTW.
What in the world is that thing? The chamber looks enormous? I'm off to duck duck go it
Taurus judge. Can shoot .410 shot shells.
The Taurus Judge was first out, followed by the Smith & Wesson Governor.

The Scandium-framed Governor is surprisingly lightweight. Past Gunday - S&W Governor
How easy is the Govern(at)or there to quick load?
Well, you have a thumb release that allows the cylinder to swing out giving access to all six chambers. So as fast as you can push a cartridge in to each chamber and close the cylinder.
Of course, there are speed loaders where all six cartridges are held in a temporary magazine. In that case you drop all six cartridges at the same time. So, with practice, a couple of seconds.
After laying down six shot shells, if you have any semblance of accuracy, you'll have plenty of time to reload.
I can't imagine they'd want to go down that particular hallway again very quickly after receiving such a greeting during their first attempt.
I'm not that familiar but I think the "moon clips" that come with the Governor allow for quicker reloading.
They also make a 6 shot raging judge, adds .454 casull to the mix, that is not a round to take lightly.
The judge fires bullets with little balls inside you can 2-6 balls per shot. Just saw a YouTube video and I’m the fucking expert now!
Have one. It’s hella fun. Feels like a punch to the palm of your hand.
Only at a rate of once per however long it takes you to go find it after it flies out of your hand like that scene from MIB with the tiny pistol
It's a .410 not a 12 gauge. I've never shot one, but I'd imagine 44 mag is worse.
Lol I’m just making a silly joke. I’m sure it’s super manageable. It just looks like it fires coke cans
especially in the 3 inch mag 4 disc version, kicks like a mule.
SuperBlackhawk.
....inertia is a property of matter
Bill Nye
That is exactly what we need!
Silly rule intended to increase the cost of defensive tools.
My wife thanks you in advance for the new Walther .38 she'll be getting soon.
Can't believe I never thought about this as an option for her.
Your husband is smart. But I'd wager he needs to be with you.
They are great! My Dad has had one for years. Shoots .45 and short .410 shotgun rounds With the .410, you can shoot a 10’ spread from 10’ away. Basically, reach in the car and your fucking upper half is Swiss cheese. Can also shoot .410 slugs I believe too? Its a gd beast.
The slugs are terrible, no reason to use them in a judge over the .45 colt or 3" buckshot.
Yeah, definitely Long Colt (defender-type hollow points drastically moreso) over .410 slugs for stopping power. That said, you can get pretty creative with the .410 shotshells if you get a Mech Jr. press and do your own reloading.
Taurus Judge kicks ASS! Ever seen someone fire dragon's breath rounds out of one?
Let's just say a home invader would get a cremation included free of charge.
I doubt homeowners insurance covers burning your own house down though :(
Pretty sure it does. Most home fires are caused by the homeowner in some way.
There's also been cases where a robber fell (or similar) inside the target house and sued for damages and won.
Yeah they need to fuckin change those laws. That’s ridiculous. God bless Florida lol
I feel like there's gotta be more to that story. Like maybe he actually lived there or something and was robbing his roommate? IDK. I have heard the story and I know it's true I just feel like there are more details. At least, I hope there are.

They always start with the homeowner refusing to press charges.

FYI these are shit for anything other than range fun and snakes.
You can use them for squirrels, but only in short trees and bushes.
Looks like he's shooting fireworks

Sadly though, I already own a 357 magnum revolver and my next purchase has to have the magazine capacity necessary to deter a mob of violent communists.
That's what this gun does best, IMO. People love the look and the concept of shooting shotgun shells out of a handgun.
I reload my own custom shotshells, and like the ladypede who posted earlier in this thread, I run a mix of cartridges/shotshells in my Governor, which by-the-way is my daily carry piece most of the time. Except when I need to go slim, then it's a compact .45acp semi-auto pistol.

The Judge!
It should be JUDGE, JURY and EXECUTIONER
Bro. Hows your wrist doing? 😂😂
TAURUS JUDGE, IT'S THE LAW
A Raging Judge will give you 454 Cassul rounds. Look those up. Holy Shit
I would buy one but I hear so many negative things about Taurus revolvers. I'd definitely buy a S&W governor if they made one with a larger frame and barrel like the Raging Judge.
whoah
500 S&w 👍
I got my mitts on several hundred of them a few years ago. All gone now... Gun Club, Gun Shows, based individuals...I spread the wealth. Actually, I gave out about fifty of 'em at a Trump Rally back in the spring of 2016 in Milford New Hampshire.
I'll be the judge of that. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Patriot Mobile free pocket Constitution?
MY NAME IS JUDGE
The Judge! 🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸
I am the law! -JUDGE DREDD
Is that a shotgun pistol? I think I saw it in DemolitionRanch's YT channel
I'm just going to leave this here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDJHS0_l8xY
What's the name of this gun?
Love this- I have the public defender- great guns!
That looks like my 45, I would only use it in close quarters where stopping an intruder immediately is required. Only good for five rounds in that environment due to reloading time.
I use it only for my extended home as defined by my State.
I have always preferred the "S&W Governor" Man myself +1 shell if I remember right, the gun is a honker.
This is my next gun purchase 100%
World’s best snake pistol.
.410 pistol?
Here come the Judge, here come the Judge......
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3hIcKkKID8k
my arm flinched when it saw this pic
Ah, Judge and Executioner combo. Nice.
Love my judge
Order in the court! Here comes da Judge! A Judges' self defense in case the bailiff loses control of a situation in the courtroom. P.S. a long .45 hollow point is a devastating damage round.
Fun to shoot, annoyingly loud. Good way to piss off the guy next to you at the range.
that's sexy
Hijacking to say that I just saw the 60 Minutes preview during the Titans game ( yes I am watching the China propaganda sue me ) and they said a new report has found that the border wall will supposedly fail due to erosion? Anyone know anything?
Smells like bullshit.
Watching China propaganda and wants to know if it's real? Da fuq?
Meanwhile China is sinking and their dams are going to explode but ok
Quick Google search says that sections of a privately funded wall built on the Rio Grande is in danger of falling down
One section during construction blew down because of 60mph gusts of wind but the cement hadnt even set(or been poured?), that is probably what this shit is gonna bring up.
