I get where you're coming from, but I don't know if the answer to our toxic, divisive political divide is to ignore or hide from it.
It's fucked up that businesses have a free-pass to blast their lefty politics in our faces, but to have even a small MAGA hat is to face boycott and even arson.
At some point though, I feel like we need to normalize and push back against those who are trying to shame conservative beliefs, we can't and shouldn't be hiding from the left. We have to get back to a place of mutual respect and civility, and we need to be able to talk to each other and unite as a country. We can't let them shame us into silence.
Is it too much to ask that my meal not have a politcal opinion.
