I genuinely think that there were too many prosperous small businesses so they needed to cull the herd. A small business owner can file things under the business and claim legal tax deductions that make their income larger, even if it doesn’t directly equal more money coming home on a paycheck. Those reduce their taxable income which equals less riches for the ruling politician class to siphon into their own pockets. From what I understood, Trump did a lot of stuff as a sole proprietor with a ton of single member LLCs. Lots of those get reported in your personal income taxes, so there are likely a lot of business things mixed in. ( I could be wrong on this )

I genuinely think that there were too many prosperous small businesses so they needed to cull the herd. A small business owner can file things under the business and claim legal tax deductions that make their income larger, even if it doesn’t directly equal more money coming home on a paycheck. Those reduce their taxable income which equals less riches for the ruling politician class to siphon into their own pockets. Can’t have people able to take advantage of the exact things they put in place for themselves. We the people had to be cut down to size. Anyone that survived is now facing second wave with BLM protests in some areas. Makes me sick.

Yep. I’ve used that scenario explaining my theory to others but used Amazon as the example. Amazon can treat their employees like crap because if you leave, there’s a long line of people behind you waiting to take your place. Small business is more likely to give you better time off, better job security and better wages and if you are the owner and can dictate your own schedule, your work/life balance is going to be a lot better. Over the past four years I’ve seen a lot of people turn a small part time hustle into a full fledged small business because of good economy blesses all...except apparently corrupt politicians.

From what I understood, Trump did a lot of stuff as a sole proprietor with a ton of single member LLCs. Lots of those get reported in your personal income taxes, so there are likely a lot of business things mixed in. ( I could be wrong on this )
This is how most real estate businesses are set up. The propety holding company is an S-corp LLC and the operating company is the financially complicated entity (because it has a lot of employees, short term debt to pay bills for the NNN leases they operate for the holdco, etc.).
