NYT shows that not having anyone on staff that understands real estate, finance, accounting, or taxes makes them look like morons to those who do. This is an essay a middle school student who hates Trump would write up.

Show me an asset not worth billions that kicks off hundreds of millions in income. Depreciation deductions and recapture are a thing. They fail to understand the nature of how many business have wild swings from year to year. Tax incentives growing the economy with investment to generate jobs is beyond comprehension to NYT’s glorified bartenders peddling litter box liners.

And their readers do not seem to understand this either. Some liberals I know sent me this story parrotted by MarketWatch as if this story was a slam dunk. TDS is getting worse by the day.

NYT should just get into fiction writing. They're halfway there regardless.

You mean tumblr fan fiction?

These are the same idiots that say the Trump tax cuts didn't benefit them because their refund was smaller. Completely ignoring that they also paid less throughout the year.

I know another idiot who claimed the business tax cuts only benefited the type of pass-through entities that the Trump family owns. These people who have never owned/operated an LLC and know literally nothing about tax law suddenly become masters in business finance.

The entire workforce ends up being an 80/20 split, where 20% of the employees do 80% of the work, and the bloat above the field level does absolutely nothing but waste time, create drama, and burn the organization to the ground.

Oh, but of course, this is never talked about though. It's like the cursed words you aren't allowed to speak. You can't point out how you've got a fucking geologist who doesn't even know geology, who is spending their time pursuing things like building powerpoint presentations about the sink in the break room not being clean enough for their liking.

Nothing is ever done about these people. They're just allowed to keep their jobs, and more often than not, they get promoted up and out to be "someone else's problem".

We're breeding incompetence and laziness in the business world now, where if you're utterly useless, you get rewarded for it.

If you're useful and can perform your job, you're held back and get stuck in the position you're in because you're the only one of 100 people who can actually do the fucking job.

A lot of people are wising up to this, too. The guys who know how to do the job, are starting to STOP doing the job, and are just skating by like the rest.

This is exactly why the USSR's economy failed so hard - rewarding ideology over competence. Then the few actual producers adopt the strategy for themselves; "We'll keep pretending to work as long as they keep pretending to pay us".

I've actually had a conversation about this topic recently. We are actually seeing it happen in real time with the media. The real doers in media all skipped universities and made YouTube accounts or their own publications. Tim pool, Styx, Razor, etc. The critical thinkers, builders and future of that industry all side stepped the bloated apparatus and made their own thing. A one time, universities were a lock box of knowledge but with the invention of the internet that knowledge is free and widely available.

Great comment

While I see your comment as somewhat grim, this is a perfect prediction of all the uninformed people who went to college with no direction and are now in a shithole job with 60k in college debt. Get specialized or you will be fired by automation eventually.

Their readers hardly care, as long as they get fake news about Trump to keep their hate going.

Look at the twitter trends now. Every libtard who cant do multiplication nor has held a job is suddenly an expert on taxes.! And in reply to these faggots, people are explaining capital gains, dividends etc.. jfc give it a break.

Might as well teach a horse how to fly an aeroplane

Horses can’t fly airplanes because they have hoofs.
