So he gamed our retarded system.... And I'm supposed to be angry at him for simply taking every advantage he could with his business?

Carrying losses forward is part of the tax code. If you have a problem with it, write your congressman.

I got this from the latest NYT financial report, pg 91. (This is the numbers for their business)

"As of December 29, 2019 and December 30, 2018, Accumulated other comprehensive loss, net of income taxes in our Consolidated Balance Sheets and for the years then ended in our Consolidated Statements of Changes in Stockholders’ Equity was net of deferred tax assets of approximately $188 million and $194 million, respectively"

I think what it is saying is these are losses they can take off from their tax liability. Looking over their financials the could have used this to pay 0 tax if they wanted. Instead they only took their tax down from 35% to 14%. They can use those others losses in future years if people start reading them again.

...and in 2014 they had a $3m tax benefit for a -11% tax rate that year.

This is what is frustrating, it is a simple concept. Profit and losses in business don't only fit into 12 months. You pour cash into a business for years, losing money as you build it, until it turns a profit. But it is not really a profit if you are not accounting for and paying back what was put in. Sounds like they are demanding we pay taxes even when we are losing money.

Apparently in this case it wasn’t even losses but rather overpayments. So it’s an even bigger nothingburger.

This is going to backfire big league. People will see this for the invasion of privacy that it is. These people are scum. What's next, a hidden camera in Trump's bathroom?

The only reason he paid a lot on those years is because he probably bought something big for personal use. A house or an airplane maybe as examples. If so he will only pay income tax on the money he used from his businesses to buy that personal stuff. If he doesn't take any money out of his businesses for personal use one year, than that year he can claim he had a income of $0 personally! A bunch of bums that have never known anyone to own a business doesn't understand this.

He also works all the time, has his housing and travel rightfully paid for. He donates his salary instead of taking it. He doesn’t need an income while he’s president. Furthermore, he’s not a fucking retard who for a tiny bit of money would let these clowns get an angle on him. He might have underestimated the viciousness of the swamp early on, but he doesn’t now.

another bs anonymous sources hit piece, 1/2 the article justifies having nothing but can do speculation from the nothing. The mental gymnastics make it almost unreadable

"In 15 years Trump barely paid any taxes!"

15.1 years ago: Trump paid $38 million in taxes.

There is nothing remarkable here other than rehashing old news and adding meaningless dressing.
