Trump can easily get 5 picks.

Breyer is rotting faster than a dead carcass. Sotomayor can't stop eating her carb heavy dinners.

7 Conservatives 2 Communists sounds pretty good to me.

There is speculation that:

A)Trump will ask Thomas to step down

OR

B) Thomas has approached Trump about retiring to coordinate a replacement

so Trump can appoint someone like-minded, yet younger

Clarence Thomas is a legend and a Patriot.

Thomas may step down, and if he does, Trump needs to ignore the faggots over at the federalist society. Then I want William Stickman IV and Allison Rushing. That makes up for frankly what it think is at best a fair weather conservative and at worst another Roberts.

I'm picking up a general resignation to the fact that she is going to be confirmed from the Democrats I follow on social media. There are a few screaming about taking to the streets in violent revolution, but there are more that are just accepting it as inevitable at this point.

63
pmurTJdlanoD 63 points ago +63 / -0

Oh noooo they’re gonna be violent in the streets just like they already are. Fuck them and their temper tantrums

25
TD_Covfefe_Crusader 25 points ago +25 / -0

Exactly. Empty threats at this point considering they are already committing widespread terrorism and rioting. A bunch of radicalized, middle aged cucks and Karens deciding to take to the streets for muh Democracy isn't going to change anything.

13
GeoG85 13 points ago +13 / -0

You get it. The threat is useless when it's already en-acted. Now, it's just acts of war.

5
substantialmajestic 5 points ago +5 / -0

hahahahhahahhahahaha EXACTLY.

30
NoSteppy1776 30 points ago +30 / -0

I think they've (finally) realized how the game theory works out.

> Encourage violent riots because we think that'll own Trump

> It backfires horribly, making normies flock to the Law And Order guy

> Trying to downplay the madness doesn't work; it just makes the DNC look impotent at best, complicit at worst. All they can do is try to quietly quell the madness.

Now with RBG's corpse finally being replaced, they know a Kavanaugh Circus 2.0 is brewing, and more chaos and riots and madness will brew with it, which will mean more optics for RNC ads playing on our screens: smashed cars, Molotov cocktails, burning buildings, the whole nine yards.

All they can do now is not rile up the mindless rabble and hope for the smallest drop in the polls possible.

7
OrenthalJamesObama 7 points ago +7 / -0

That is a sound strategy. Let’s hope they do the opposite.

3
1in1024th 3 points ago +3 / -0

Let's hope we can troll them into doing the opposite

1
labiator 1 point ago +1 / -0

They can usually be relied upon to do just that.

17
supersecretaccount82 17 points ago +17 / -0

As much as another idiotic push for impeachment or hysterical delay tactics could help us in messaging, I'm glad if they're giving up and accepting it. Getting Amy on the court before the election is more important to me.

24
TD_Covfefe_Crusader 24 points ago +24 / -0

I think they are finally figuring out that their manufactured outrage is no longer effective and really not worth the effort. It worked for them for years against cuckservative Republicans, but President Trump has taught the GOP how to win and it doesn't work so well now.

20
GakLivesMatter 20 points ago +20 / -0

In psychological terms this is known as the "extinction burst." Basically temper tantrums of any nature always get worse and worse and then stop. But they are always at their worst RIGHT before they learn their lesson. Basically they have this concept in their head that certain behavior (violence & hysterics) gets them what they want (conservatives cowing). They are lighting themselves on fire and then expecting us to try and put them out.

Well, Trump has finally gotten it through (most) of the Republican's heads that the way you beat the Democrats is to do whatever the opposite of what they want is. The Democrats don't understand why old tactics aren't working so they try them harder and harder. I think a large swath of them have finally figured out that's not the game that's being played anymore.

5
BecMonTchew 5 points ago +5 / -0

No one that would vote for Hiden to stop the violence has kids. Or at least I hope to God they don't. (they do, which is why we're in the mess we're in now.)

3
disgruntled_patriot 3 points ago +3 / -0

A "large swath" of democrats requires that at least a 50% majority of them have any sense to realize with.

Their violence isn't over. Arm up.

2
Luckyduck 2 points ago +2 / -0

Very good analysis except I'm not sure it's accurate to say a large swath of them have figured it out yet but the confirmation hearings will speak volumes

2
Italians_Invented_2A 2 points ago +4 / -2

Trump has finally gotten it through (most) of the Republican's heads that the way you beat the Democrats is to do whatever the opposite of what they want is

That would have been choosing a white male.

2
somercet 2 points ago +2 / -0

extinction burst

Ah, Sarah Hoyt at Instapundit described this as "roll hard left and die." A mostly Lefty magazine, say, knowing it is about to die, will suddenly publish the most insane hard Left takes in the year before it implodes.

She suggested they were doing it to rack up the Lefty brownie points, but this theory makes sense, too.

4
substantialmajestic 4 points ago +4 / -0

Funny how simply standing up for yourself unapologetically actually works. Who'd a thunk it.

11
tsacian 11 points ago +11 / -0

Not just that, many are worried that pushback could look anti-women for the election, which hurts their narrative.

14
TD_Covfefe_Crusader 14 points ago +14 / -0

It's a fact that nominating a woman took away their "me too" hoax attack strategy that they seem to use at every opportunity against men.

4
1in1024th 4 points ago +4 / -0

Nominating another man would have caused them to double down on their "me too" hoax strategy even further though, which would have been entertaining to see them overplay that hand and break their "me too" tool in the process.

Trump must be too serious about getting that seat filled before election day if he's passing up that opportunity to troll

Their strategy will to be question her judgement by accepting the nomination just weeks before the election. Simple rebuttal will be to say the constitution makes no mention of it and she’s following the constitution. At the end of equation, she’s on the court by October 23.

6
deleted 6 points ago +6 / -0
4
Brave1884 4 points ago +4 / -0

Problem with that is they have her on tape about Scalia saying the complete opposite. Pretty sure the Dems like her. She was the the best possible outcome for them. If she’s confirmed before the election it will be one less reason for the few low energy people on the right to go vote. They all get to vote no and say it’s because of McConnell, and moderate normies will agree and think republicans as hypocrites right before the election.

15

Clarence Thomas should retire and let Trump find a good black conservative to replace him.

15
ChrisSuperDude 15 points ago +16 / -1

Thomas isn't driven by hatred the way Ginsburg was, if he feels like calling it a day in the next 4 years he's not gonna be a fucking bitch about it.

12
123breadman 12 points ago +13 / -1

Thomas is a happy Catholic. He will pretty much live to 100

12

Candace Owens is 31 years old, and there's no Constitutional requirement for SCOTUS to be a lawyer. That's a lot of decades on the court, plus the most awesome confirmation hearings ever!

11
CastlesMadeofSand01 11 points ago +11 / -0

You are delusional if you think these guys are going to roll over for a Roberts proof majority on the court.

Look at the millions in cash flowing to Democrat controller accounts since Ginsburg died. The elitist, white lady Democrat base is irate. That is part of the Democrat core of expected voters.

You think the Dems are just going to roll over and play ball? Get fuckin real. If the Dems don't fight back here, their base will not show up in November.

Expect at least 3-5 concocted canards targeting wobbly kneed Republican voters like Romney and Murkowski. They will do their best to go after Gardner in Colorado's vote as well.

I fully expect to hear how Barrett appeared in blackface, moonlighted with the KKK, spent weekends with Hitler Youth, and was an investor of Mike Vick's dogfighting ring.

3
Brave1884 3 points ago +3 / -0

There whole tactic will be to make her and us look hypocritical to moderates. It’s always perfect timing for them.

1
1in1024th 1 point ago +1 / -0

That's why they waited to admit she was dead until now.

IMHO their screeching will redpill more normies

Especially if they attack a Catholic family woman

Because they wanted us to put someone up pre election. The Dems just motivated their base, college/young adults (who will vote in groves by mail this year for them since it’s easy), etc to go ahead and vote orange man out as soon as ballots hit their mailbox’s incase they sway the rhinos. This is while we’re all here saying to only vote in person. So when she get confirmed a week before Election Day, it gives the retarded never trumpers and rhinos one less reason to vote and makes us look hypocritical to moderate normies.

5
Italians_Invented_2A 5 points ago +5 / -0

You're wrong.

Many leftists don't like Joe, but would gladly go to vote only to get another Marxist in the court.

If we fill in the seat, we remove a great motivator from the low energy libtards
