I was playing Requiem Momento Mori and the Aika back then, the goal to both games was ganking and causing public drama. Not only was it tolerated, it was welcome by the mods and admins since pissed off players spent more money on gear for revenge or avoiding humiliation. So much crying and everyone-gets-a-medal now, those days are gone.
Console squeakers (players whose voices haven't dropped yet, thus sound like they're squeaking when they complain you just murdered them and are telling their moms) can't handle games like DayZ and other similar hardcore survival games where upon character death you lose everything in your inventory and your base (if the game allows one) can be attacked at any time. Every game has to hold their hand, the HUD has to show them exactly where the next objective is vs hints and searching, maps cannot have mazes or complicated puzzles, PVP must be disabled on certain/all servers, there must be single player for the socially anxious, etc.

They bitch and moan constantly over "buffing" or "nerfing" game roles because of minor changes and claim it ruins a game. It's a game. It's just something to have casual fun with. It's ike a book or a movie -- you just wanna get lost in the atmosphere and PLAY.
But they legitimately get their feelings hurt and curse developers and other players for tiny little things, especially if they're not being spoon-fed wins. You don't have to win every time, and you should be having fun even if you don't win, that's why it's a game and not work.
