I heard an oncologist warn us how cancer deaths are going to spike like crazy next year. He explained how China virus has caused such tunnel vision that people have made fewer visits to the doctor, and have delayed many tests that sometimes detect early signs of cancer.

Early diagnosis gives people the best chance at survival, and this oncologist is seeing far fewer new cancer patients this year. So he is projecting a lot more late cancer diagnoses in the coming months.

I don’t doubt it. I know someone who died of bronchitis because she was too scared to go to the doctor...afraid of getting Covid and let a curable disease kill her.

As a 25 year cancer survivor this right here terrifies me. I have routine CT scans every 5 months and thankfully my routine hasn't be disrupted at all. But my word just a few weeks can be a matter of life or death. The death count from cancer is going to laugh in the face of the death count from Covid.
