After the age of 25, I started reading history for myself and for the most part from primary sources.
This is what I learned:
It was Democrat president JFK that got us into Vietnam.
Democrat president Johnson started the draft and Republican Nixon ended it.
The largest KKK rally happened in 1924 at the Democrat National Convention, the Klan Bake. It was a brokered Convention that went on for days and it was all about making sure Catholic Al Smith wasn't the nominee.
Democrats were the party of slavery, the klan, voted against Civil Rights Act and the Voting Act. Al Gore's Father, Bill Clinton's mentor William Fulbright, Hillary's mentor Robert Bird and Joe Biden's mentor James Eastland were all segregationists and racists.
More Republicans voted for the Civil Rights Act of 1964 than Democrats.
Martin Luther King Junior spoke at the RNC platform committee in 1964 in San Francisco. MLK Jr never attended a Democrat convention.
Republicans voted for the right of women to vote and the first female SCOTUS judge was Republican Sandra Day O'Connor and she was appointed by Ronald Reagan.
The first fifty black national lawmakers in the U.S. were all Republicans.
The first progressive president, Woodrow Wilson was a rabid racist who screened the most racist movie in U.S. history, The Birth Of America, in the White House in the 1920's.
America didn't have an income tax until the 1930's and the Federal Government was funded almost entirely by tariffs before the income tax.

Macroeconomics and Accounting should be mandatory classes all high school students take. The fact that we do not require students take them in college, but require liberal arts electives shows how stupid they want us to be; even the "educated".
