BOMBSHELL: Trump has top-tier tax strategy and is confirmed to be a brilliant business man! REEEEEE!

They’re so desperate at this point.

There should be a mandatory course in late high school that’s called like Civics or something that is solely dedicated to laying out stuff like taxes, interacting with law enforcement, how to fill out important forms (like a I-9 or W2), etc. Taxes should be like at least 33% of the curriculum.

9
AmericanSupremacist 9 points ago +9 / -0

I think to a point the parents are responsible for teaching their kids these things. I was told by several adults including my parents on how to interact with police. Every parent who isn’t homeless should have a basic understanding of budgeting. It’s implied in the fact they aren’t homeless and have food each day to eat, clothes to wear etc. And sex Ed. Do people really want some random person talking to their kid about how get consent, how to treat someone you want to be romantically involved with, how to be safe while sexually active? Not me, not even the slightest.

Or better yet, eliminate the IRS and have one tax. A sales tax. Nothing else.

2
thisguy883 2 points ago +3 / -1

I'd be down with that. Sales taxes would skyrocket along with the economy since people will have more money to purchase stuff with.

Shit, I pay around $600 in taxes each month for my job. Would be nice to be able to pocket that and buy some cool shit.

1

The people who complain the most about rich people, are the same people who have never been able to hold a good job or make decent money legitimately.

Remember when Bernie was against all millionaires, then he made a few million off of a book sale, and now is against all billionaires?

The dude is a fucking joke. Only an idiot would follow him and listen to his every word as gospel.

Bombshell: most Americans have no clue how taxes and corporate taxes work

4

The NY Times spin is he didn't pay taxes because he's broke. He's running for office so he can steal the election donations.

Tax avoidance is not tax evasion. Very legal, very cool.

85
Chickenbaconpoutine 85 points ago +85 / -0

Like I said in another thread..

"My accountant said that this provision in the tax code meant I could pay less taxes if we use it, but i told him not to, because I don't mind paying more taxes than needed."

-said nobody ever

28
jsmurphy62 28 points ago +28 / -0

That tick-tock fuck-knuckle Hannity says he tells his accountant to pay more.

He's either lying or a fool.

14
WaxMyBallsBernie 14 points ago +14 / -0

He just wants the rank and file at the fbi to get a raise

-8
Soul -8 points ago +1 / -9

Lol and you don't show the system that you want to change by following it, you get down to the level and make it an even playing field for all instead of virtue signaling that oh look at me I pay so much in taxes

17
Bbasher 17 points ago +17 / -0

Put that on a shirt.

6

4

Someone please listen to this man.

14
Press2forEnglish 14 points ago +15 / -1

Tax evasion shouldn't be a crime. It should be encouraged and celebrated.

Defund the IRS.

7
somedaysoon 7 points ago +7 / -0

Tax avoidance is legal and is a huge concern in a lot of business transactions. That's A-okay and is not a problem. Evasion however is by definition illegal. But yes, the IRS could operate on a much smaller scale. We should just have a consumption tax, coupled with mandatory rebates for low income households.

5
Furaffinitydotnet 5 points ago +5 / -0

In video games, its the difference between downloading hax to win or using an overpowered weapon that is already in the game to win.

1
Press2forEnglish 1 point ago +1 / -0

The US government can function at its original scale without taxation of any kind. We've learned from history that once you get in between a man and his labor (or consumption), it never ends. Taxes never go down in any substantive way, and government intrusion always increases.

13
TrumpVictorious 13 points ago +13 / -0

I’m not even sure it is avoidance. Trump is simply taking deductions for losses as per normal process. That’s called doing your taxes correctly.

5
Turtles 5 points ago +5 / -0

I feel like it's safe to assume those losses are real too, right? Surely in all the FBI digging around, they'd have found out if that was false.

Otherwise there might actually be a story here to report.

4
TrumpVictorious 4 points ago +4 / -0

Common sense says liberals are not using Trump properties or buying Trump brand products. Hard to thrive as a business in that situation. I expect being president has hit DJT in terms of net worth. Hell he spent a lot on his own campaign in 2016.

2
slugbait 2 points ago +2 / -0

It's called tax compliance. Making sure you don't over or under pay.

5
Furaffinitydotnet 5 points ago +5 / -0

It's the difference between following the law and exploiting what is on the books to your advantage, and breaking the laws on the books.

With that said, our tax codes are ridiculous. They are putting the USA at a major disadvantage in new technology.

134
taavofficial 134 points ago +134 / -0

If we want the tax returns of the president so much, then every single government official needs to be audited as well.

Trump: Follows law.

Biden supporters: REEEEEEEEEEEE DRUMPF USED LEGAL TAX WRITE OFF!!

One of Trump's biggest deductions (property tax deduction) was literally capped at $10k by his own tax bill lmao. He closed off a huge benefit to himself.

60
VenusDe 60 points ago +60 / -0

The NYT wants to talk about the taxes private citizen Trump paid using the tax code created by US Congress so they don't have to talk about the fact that as POTUS Trump lowered taxes for middle class Americans & donates 100% of his salary back to the USA.

5

A lot of the twitter commenters are bots. There are even US colleges assigning students projects that target politicians with Twitter bots.

3

And I guarantee you the owners of the dying traditional media use every trick in the book to pay as little tax as possible. The transparent hypocrisy is so obvious, I really don't understand how people keep falling for it.

I'm glad the slimy cunts at the NYTimes did this. Why? Because now the have to shut the fuck up about it. It's nothing. You know how I know? The stock market didn't even blink. It's nothing.

Being in debt is not illegal. They've been yammering like retarded seals for 4 years about his taxes, like they'd show million dollar deposits from Putin, or something. He's not being charged by the IRS for tax evasion, or fraud. He doesn't owe the IRS 300 million in back taxes (let's see how many congress members and senators who owe back taxes). He lost a bunch of money, and owes a bunch of money.

SO WHAT.

They stepped up to the plate, and struck out. AGAIN. And now they don't have this non-issue to yammer about anymore. Nobody is changing their vote, nothing is different. Don't waste time on the smug little 4chan trolls baiting you today. Ignore them, they'll go back to /pol when nobody bites. Focus on the vote fraud being played out right now, don't be distracted by this non-story, like they intend.

We got this, pedes. This is laughable.

I wish something could be done about Property Taxes. You can have your house paid in full but then have to constantly worry about the property taxes going up when your neighborhood becomes extremely popular and the property values start rising. You could have to sell your home because you can't afford the property taxes. Maybe property tax according to income?

1
victory2024 1 point ago +1 / -0

Maybe property tax according to income?

Many states give you a property tax credit if you are low income, older/retired, etc. Property taxes still suck though.

2
AllTheWayTrump 2 points ago +2 / -0

I wonder what they have in store for the week before election as it appears the tax story is a dud and only those who already hated Trump and the mental midgets who don't understand that people like Trump pay people a lot of money (job creation) to legally reduce their tax bill and there's no one out there that voluntarily pays more income tax than they need to if they have competent accountants. Why would anyone want to give more money than legally required to a government that will squander most through waste, fraud, and abuse.

1

2

He either broke tax law or he didn't, and it appears that he did not. If he didn't break the law, then any problem that anyone has with how much he has paid in taxes should be directed not towards people took advantage of those tax laws, but towards those who wrote the tax laws.

Now, who can I think of who has been pushing tax legislation for nearly half a century...
