It caused the Democrats to forget the narrative that Biden is a "devout Catholic" and that Harris is "strong woman". Now, they are attacking Amy for just that: for actually being a devout Catholic and an accomplished woman.

This will be even worse for the Democrats than the Kavanaugh effect. Full speed ahead.

EDIT: Come to think of it, Trump's SCOTUS pick is also a stable, constitution-loving genius. His FLOTUS pick is also amazing.

Really liked Trump's comment referring to discrimination against Catholics in public office...

"I thought we settled this with JFK"

On an aside, it's interesting and curious that in a country where 2/3 of Christians are evangelical/protestant, there are zero evangelicals/protestants on the 9 seat Supreme Court. The last protestant was John Paul Stevens who retired in 2010.

And he was terrible.

Yeah but not the point.

And I'm not saying there needs to be a minimum number of evangelicals/protestants on the SC. Just observing that none at all for the last 10 years is a statistical oddity. For the first 220 years there were always justices from that category continuously.

Statistsicly unlikely at the least.

Based on demographic data it’s a 14% chance. However, that’s a naïve estimation without accounting for the demographic makeup of court justices.
