Just received an official absentee ballot for our school budget vote, which I did not request. They want you to make your selections and then seal it in an envelope with your name and address filled in on the front and signed on the back, put it in another envelope and mail it in. How the hell is this a secret ballot when your name and address is on the envelope that the ballot is in? Someone at the election board has to see it. At the very least seniors will feel intimidated to not vote NO on the budget, when they almost always do when it’s voted in person. So, I guess this is how the general election will be run. Vote in person!! I intend to even if I have to crawl over broken glass.
