A bigger problem is that most the politicians are lawyers. Lawyers aren't money people. We need business experts and accountants to be in office. We need more skill set diversity more than anything. That requires those in power to take action that would remove them from power. That's not gonna happen easily.
you can't convince them that they're not a good way to fund "public" things. market failure, etc, there is a million NPC responses I can think of
