because they keep changing the definition of "case" to whatever keeps the totals inflated. That's why if you live in a household of 4, and you test positive, the rest of your household automatically is "assumed positive", and then if each of them goes and gets tested, and test positive, they count everyone else in the household (meaning you WILL get doubles) so you could get 4 + 4 + 4 + 4 "cases" in one household of 4 if each gets tested and is positive. They don't correct for duplicates. Also in many places, each positive test is a "case" meaning you test positive, then come back a few days later and still positive, that's 2 cases, just for you.
then all the bullshit with old "cases" that they decide NOW are legit that they dump on today even though they are from maybe 2 or 3 months ago. The definition of "case" is whatever they want it to be to keep the number high enough to "justify" another renewal of dictator powers for the Governor
"Why are cases still going up mr. President?!" Hurr durrrrr
