Fun fact, I used to valet in college - must have been 2013/2014. I was to park her car at the monte Lucia in Scottsdale, AZ. I didnt know who it was besides an elderly woman at the time. She asked for help up, getting out of her car and kind of yelled at me for pulling her up too hard - i didnt yank or anything but probably should pulled equally hard as she did. Lesson learned - go easy when helping elderly.
My grandma woulda called you a sonuva bitch and flipped you off. Still wouldn’t hold it against you for more than a minute, even before her memory failed her.
After a certain age, lots of joints constantly hurt, just for no reason. Also, there’s not as much fat and muscle on the frame to cushion a ‘too tight’ hand grip when helping someone up from a seated position.
Yeah, makes total sense looking back at it. At that point I really wasn't around too many people that age (~85 at the time). My irish grandparents on my moms side were still pretty young and on my dads side theyre built like a brick shithouse.
