You have these people who constantly talked about how they wanted to die, drank heavily and did drugs, and then when they realized they didn’t do anything worth living for, suddenly they fear the reaper. I don’t fear death, I’ve had enough close calls already. I’ve said goodbye to my limbs on more than one occasion expecting to come back without them. Death is just another part of the lifecycle - we can run and try to prolong the inevitable or we can live every single day as if it’s our last. When the virus first popped up as a “serious” (kek) threat and people were locking themselves indoors, my wife and I spent almost every day outside. No masks. People have asked us what would happen if we were to get sick and die - we both decided that if that were to happen, at least our last few days/weeks would be full of good memories together instead of cowering in fear locked in our home.

You know, my wife and I were talking about this last week. You have these people who constantly talked about how they wanted to die, drank heavily and did drugs, and then when they realized they didn’t do anything worth living for, suddenly they fear the reaper. I don’t fear death, I’ve had enough close calls already. I’ve said goodbye to my limbs on more than one occasion expecting to come back without them. Death is just another part of the lifecycle - we can run and try to prolong the inevitable or we can live every single day as if it’s our last. When the virus first popped up as a “serious” (kek) threat and people were locking themselves indoors, my wife and I spent almost every day outside. No masks. People have asked us what would happen if we were to get sick and die - we both decided that if that were to happen, at least our last few days/weeks would be full of good memories together instead of cowering in fear locked in our home.
This is the exact sentiment I've not been able to get across to a lot of friends and family. There seems to be some idea that I'm supposed to have the desire to just remain alive and breathing at any and all cost.
Everyone has their own choices but the fact of the matter is giving up everything to not do any of the million things that might cause me to die is just not something I could ever accept. It's not being careless it's being willing to trade calculated risk for enjoyment.

Elon Musk lives in the real world, not in a lab or an ivory tower. All the COVID "scientists" are plugging numbers into models when they don't realize that the data gathering process is very noisy and flawed. If it is anything like H1N1, we missed 90% of the cases, most of which happened very early before we even knew what to test for.
This is akin to having a model that says we can easily build a car that goes over 2000 mph. An actual engineer would instantly suspect a faulty model, bad data/measurements, or computational error. This is basically happening in real time right now and people are choosing to believe the model over reality. People are freaking out about how dangerous this virus is, but they keep going grocery shopping and they don't see memorials or donation boxes outside the store for all their dead employees.

I work in the EV industry and never really considered working at Tesla because it's a known sweatshop where the stress is very high, long hours and work-life-balance isn't a thing.
