All four debates will run for 90 minutes, from 9 p.m. ET until 10:30 p.m. ET.


Sept. 29

First presidential debate will be held at Case Western Reserve University and Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. Fox News anchor Chris Wallace will moderate.


Oct. 7

The vice presidential debate will be held at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. USA Today’s Washington bureau chief Susan Page will moderate.


Oct. 15

Second presidential debate will be held at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami, Florida. Steve Scully, senior executive producer and political editor of C-SPAN Networks, will moderate.


Oct. 22

The third presidential debate will be held at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. Kristen Welker, co-anchor of “Weekend Today” and NBC News’ White House correspondent, will moderate.

I'm shocked we are this close without the first debate being canceled. Just a month ago, if I was a betting man, I would have put my money on the debate being canceled due to a violent, rioting mob shutting down the venue. But since then democrats have realized riots are bad for their numbers so it doesn't look like that's the direction they are going in. A covid outbreak would have been a close second.

My new bet would be Biden shows up, gives an opening prepared speech about how much of a liar Trump is and there's no point debating him, and walking out.

That's definitely within the realm of possibility. The next day's New York Times and Washington Post would applaud Biden for his brilliant, decisive, elegant dismantling of the Liar-in-Chief, leaving him there with proverbial egg on his face.

Never mind that defeating a liar in a debate should be the easiest thing in the world.
