I once heard Thomas Sowell say that the core principle of progressives is that they think they can create the perfect world here on earth, if only they have the right rules and people to enforce those rules. I never once thought this was true. I was taught young that the world is imperfect because people are imperfect, and learned later in life that contentment was internal, not something given to you.
Are there any former true believer progs out there who can tell me if this is really the core of progressive dogma? Or is it all an act?
It’s a failure to recognize the failings of man. It’s ironic that they view us so negatively. If the world is full of hateful rednecks and deplorables, then what makes you think we can all live in peace and harmony in a beautiful utopia?
Short answer: they are retarded.
Yes.
They also believe that everyone agrees with their premise that Biden is always honest and truthful, so no need for fact checking him. But ORANGE MAN BAD is a known liar, and must have everything he says live fact-checked during the debate tomorrow night.
The radicals hate Biden too and know that he can be controlled
Yes.
Sowell meant it as a well aimed insult. And it's true. They're intent on saving us all, whether we like it or not.
Some absolutely.
And is so often the case-this causes them to ignore the harm they do because they had "good intentions".
Case in point is abolishing the police-now minorities in dem cities have more crime, and no one showing up when they call 911.
