Plausible deniability. Pay a 3rd party to “canvass” for you, which basically means they pay people for their vote who would normally not vote at all, then if they get caught you can claim you didn’t know they were doing that.

SJL & husband have been known to attend fundraisers held by their neighbors, load up their plates, then walk home to eat away from everyone, keeping the caterers dinner plates.
Haven’t heard this although I’d believe almost anything negative about SJL as she has done jack shit during her many years in congress and is one of the most low iq people in office
