Calling the cops on your spouse is something you just don't come back from. That is trust that is broken that can never be gotten back. Ever.

If she has not filed on him already, he needs to file on her just as soon as he is released from jail. If she did this once, she'll do it again. Look at her with the diamond tipped nips. She enjoyed the power trip of seeing what she brought on her own husband. "Yeah, I fucked your shit up, and I can do it again anytime."

This is not partnership, this is a woman who wants to exert control.

It certainly isn't something that I could come back from.

You're right, the trust would be GONE. And then so would I, as well.

Fast.

So she's telling her "I-thought-I- heard-a-Gunshot" story to the cop After the cops have already spoken with him on the phone and literally proved that he's Ok..

(Everything bill_in_texas said )

.. Concur.

She obviously wasn't in danger because she was outside. She said she was worried he was suicidal, right?

I'm a woman. I don't know what happened between Brad and his wife. I think the tackle by the police looked unjustified but I don't know what they were told or what they thought.

I do agree though, that once one spouse calls the cops on the other spouse, it's breakup time. I hope they don't have kids.

Yes, normal people should think this way. But trust me, I have seen these get back together, break up, get together, etc etc etc.

Makes you wonder why.

Some people must be in a relationship at all times. If they are deeply enmeshed, it is even worse.

I could sort of see it if her story is "partially true". Like she got drunk, hit him, he grabs her arms and says stop hitting me, then he got drunk, acted crazy, started walking around the house with a gun, she leaves for safety, he shoots some random thing in the house. She freaks out legitimately, calls the cops worried that he actually shot himself... it turns out he didn't shoot himself... he shot a TV with CNN on...

Maybe their relationship is better under "normal circumstances" when they're not right before a big election with all kind of media attention and who knows what other stuff stressing them out, probably not getting a lot of sleep.

To me she looks like a druggie. He's probably bitching at her to stop doing so much coke and she's calling him a drunk. They could probably benefit from a month or two of clean living.

Buddy of mine still keeping it together with his serial cheating manipulative noncontributing wife. Because he knows the divorce means he lives in a shitty apartment and gets to see his kids two weekends a month.

He's fucked in any situation. He leaves and gets cleaned out in every conceivable way. Or he stays to put up with the Bernie loving cheater whore and keeps a decent home and sees his kids daily.

It's beyond fucked he had to make that decision and that both outcomes are bullshit.

I would Rather live in a Shitty Apartment in a fucking Ghetto than put up with that crap

I tend to agree with you on principle. But I don't know if I would bother getting out of bed on a day I couldn't see my kids. It's a rough situation but I can't put myself in his shoes.
