Assuming that Brad wasn't really suicidal and firing guns in his house, I am going to go way out on a limb here and say Brad could probably do better for himself finding a new romantic partner to enjoy the rest of his life with.

(I don't know either of them, maybe he does have a screw loose and was actually threatening to kill himself in which case I guess it's a good thing he got sent to the hospital and Candice did him a solid.)
