Classic Infuriating Example: A co-worker of mine got two job offers, one in Boston where is from, and another in Houston. He ended up taking the job in Houston. Why? Because housing is cheaper, crime is lower, and there is more economic opportunity for his wife to find a job there too. Great. Now that he moved there, I checked in on him, and he is actively pushing to advance liberal policies and voting straight D ticket. Says Texas is too conservative. Locusts.
They can't leave well enough alone. They can't allow any ideology outside their own survive. They will take the ground, build it into authoritarian strongholds, and immediately begin pushing for more. There is no compromise with them, only the complete destruction of their ideology.
