Most parents my age are CODDLERS and are raising weak boys and promiscuous girls or girls who want to be boys and boys who want to be girls. They dont parent they let the kids make all the decisions because they want their kids to like them!
My cousins on my mom's side are like this. Their mom wanted to be the cool mom and their dad didn't care. You end up with one getting a drug trafficking charge at 17 and the other ruining the life of any boy she manages to get together with until he leaves and then starts the process over again.
As a child I hated how much freedom other kids had compared to me and my brothers but as an adult I started to see where my parents came from and started thanking them for what they did. What other kids had wasn't freedom, it was pure apathy from their parents and it does damage
