The fact that no one said anything about Biden using the "white supremacists/good people on both sides" quote, which has been debunked about a thousand times, was serious bullshit.
CNN is the correct source to look at for what "they're saying". And they're not really praising either side. We knew they weren't going to praise Trump, so I think this is the best outcome we could hope for from the corrupt MSM.
Wife was watching it on CBS. After the debate, 2 minutes maybe. When whomever the black woman is said "It just made me kind of sad." Wife said, "That's enough, I'm calling it. Turn it off."
Yeah at this point looks like they really were lowering the bar to deploy a coherent Biden. Also wondering if GEOTUs held back a bit tonight to lure them into a second and third debate.
That's what seemed curious to me. I expected Joe to be a fumbling mess, but he actually sounded coherent most of the time. He did misspeak/stutter way too many times though.
I was semi hard when Trump said said "don't talk about being smart when you can't even remember what school you went to" (paraphrased), but I was kinda disappointed he didn't shred Biden to pieces on that.
Yeah, I know. Joe Biden has no clue who his voting base is. He claims that the Radical left just deradicalized all of the sudden, and that him AND his party want law and order. What?
I saw a President who was disgusted and angry over the entire disgraceful shitshow of a debate - a president who KNOWS how much is at stake here and actually gives a whole hell of a lot of fucks about it.
And I saw a smirking, laughing, rude little bitch who doesn't give a good goddam about his own country because he sold it out to the Chinese and the Globalists long ago.
This is the only thing that might be an Achilles Heel for Trump: Art of the Deal emphasizes over and over that you must be willing to walk away from any deal. You can care, but not too much.
But this is one deal that Trump is not willing to walk away from: Saving the USA and her people from the scum of the earth.
That's what I saw tonight. The line has been drawn here. And we've all got to help our President hold that line because he will not walk away from this one, and that leaves him vulnerable.
Question is, why did he agree to have Wallace as a moderator? He just interviewed with him recently and he knows he is firmly on the side of the Deepstate. Why let him moderate?
Did you think Biden was ever going to agree to a debate under fair conditions? The only way Trump (or any republican really) can get a Democrat to show up is to let them have home field advantage; and Trump still dominates enough to make it worth the compromise.
He's trying to get an I'm smart idea to stick, that's why he'll keep repeating things like "I know" etc as an out of context like a filler word replacement. They did the same thing 4 years ago, next one'll have a different theme forget the order they did before.
I forgot what this trick is actually called. It's this shitheel trick published in pickup artist, and middle management public speaking books; basically ripping off some bullshit misunderstood from a psychology class. You repeat a suggestion for the impression you want.
I would not be surprised if they're using exactly the same party prescribed debate coach. Seems like the same stuff with a lessons learned about increasing aggression.
Biden came with his Covid talking points first because that was the heart of their attack strategy, but he wasted all his ammo and didn't have anything left by halfway through the debate.
Yeah, if people were being honest to themselves, Biden failed the debates more miserably than any candidate in the history of any country. Even Hillary did better by a mile, and she got her butt handed to her too.
cut off Trump when he asked Biden to denounce Antifa and the rioters. Cut off Trump when he said the NG if called by the states would come in.
It was just a sad display, and Trump was right when he said he was debating Chris instead of Biden.
Is the general public really that stupid to believe Biden claiming Trump is in charge of everything? actually, as soon as I wrote that, I understand the answer is yes.
Interrupted a bit too much was somewhat my take as well. I think he was trying to get Joe to crack and just go on a wild tangent and lose it.
He was testing him and all Joe did was either smile or put his head down and look at the floor. Not a spectacular display but it also says something about the power dynamic when one guy is staring at the floor and the other is on the offensive...
I have to be honest, Biden did way better than I expected. My wife was put off a lot by Trump's interruptions, especially early, and felt he should have been better even though she recognized how crooked Wallace was. For example, we both agree on that "you didn't have a plan" assertion that Trump should've let Wallace finish the question, then immediately ripped into him for it. It would've played better.
We're still both crawling over broken glass to vote Trump, but I'm sad to say I think Biden did all right with any independents watching. I was hoping to see a more dramatic collapse but his handlers did a great job prepping him.
Fuck him for repeating the "very fine people" hoax, though.
The fact checkers on ABC basically gave Biden a B+ and Trump an F-. What's scary is how weasely they twist their answers. Any person not extremely tuned in to what's going on will beleive them.
All President Trump had to do was bring up creating peace in the middle east and not starting any new wars. Bring up the riots, mention the dem hypicrisy with lockdowns.
I certainly hope so. He was definitely testing JoePedo's defenses.
He looked like a boxer pacing around his opponent, trying to engage from multiple angles, not caring for occasionally opening up and taking a hit.
Huh... that might just be it, come think of it.
Trump finished very strong, his tactic changed dramatically by the end of the debate. Very interesting.
Trump acts in very much the same way a boxer or MMA fighter would. I definitely think this debate was mostly a session for him to find weaknesses in the Democrat plan. Also, he knew that the debate would be rigged against him totally, so his side goal was to ensure that the Democrats couldn't execute their plans and make Biden appear competent. It was basically a mudfight. Trump dirtied his look a little bit, so did Biden. But the important thing is Trump already has a reputation of being off the cuff and aggressive in debates, but normies don't really know much about Biden and some may even see him as just a nice old man who helped good old Barack. This destroyed that image once and for all.
i was just saying this. i dont think biden won this debate. but there were things Trump can definitely work on to be better. this was trumps first debate against biden. they'll adjust their fire for debate 2 and 3 and he'll come out stronger.
Edit: by "won the debate" I mean "in the eyes of the inert, inept, undecided, touchy-feely public" -- those whose votes these debates can still sway.
You're getting shit for this, but you're on point.
Biden won this debate (see edit above) by (1) being "pseudopresidential", (2) mostly calm, and (3) lying brazenly and openly.
Trump helped Biden by (1) being aggressive, (2) not answering the question (e.g. about race) even when he has tons of ammo, (3) constantly arguing with Wallace.
Trump is used to controlling the narrative, he's good at making long, winded, seemingly unrelated statements, that ultimately make perfect sense -- but this just doesn't work in the context of the debate with a hostile moderator.
Wrong. His aggression in the debates is his strength. Otherwise the deck is totally stacked against him. He has to be pushy or else he'll end up looking like Jeb.
I'm not against aggression. However, unlike Jeb, Trump has ammunition. Lots of ammunition.
In a minute he could actually answer the questions (e.g. why Blacks should vote for him) -- and go after Biden's bullshit during the other.
Ultimately, I think he's playing a long game, and he was probing different tactics.
That being said, the general population doesn't give a fuck. And appearances-wise -- and that's all that matters for them -- Biden won this debate. That's all.
Nah, Biden was fake and scripted, he didn't actually answer the questions, and any "points" he scored were based on lies that will have to be addressed when the media tries to cover the debate. The only thing Biden was able to go hard on was the Covid thing, but he ended by encouraging more lock-downs, which are very unpopular, so he squandered any momentum he had with that. The media won't be able to show many actual clips of the debate because Trump kept referencing specific events that viewers could research if not addressed by the hosts. So what the media is going to do is just call it "a mess" and call Trump a bully, but everyone already thinks Trump is aggressive anyway, and his base appreciates that about him. Meanwhile, Biden could not even reconcile his own platform. Is he "the" Democrat Party, or does he hold no sway over Democrat leaders? Is he against the Green New Deal or is he for it like he eventually said in the debate (and on his website and in the past)? Is he for fracking or against it tonight and why does that keep changing? Does he want to "reimagine" law enforcement or strengthen it (either way he is losing more support than gaining)? It is true that many people have already made up their minds, but the "general population" most want the Covid lockdowns to end, fewer taxes not more, law and order (in response to all the rioting), and the "general population" is aware of and hates corrupt politicians--and that is where trumps kill shot was tonight: Why did Hunter receive so much money from Russia and China? Biden's (self) kill shot was denoucing the Green New Deal (alienates his radical base) and then supporting it (by mistake, but that's only because the "Biden" deal is the GND with a different name), thus alienating whatever remaining moderate Democrates there are. Even Wallace didn't cover for Biden on that gaffe.
All of these are fair points, truly, -- if, that is, people engaged in thinking, even a little bit. But then again, they wouldn't be democrats our undecided.
I don't think they do.
I don't think Biden voters connect riots to the democrats' open endorsement of BLM, and promised tax hikes to their taxes going up.
No GND? There's the "Biden plan." Phew!
And so in and so forth.
All Biden had to do was stay coherent and deny everything affirmatively. He -- shockingly -- pulled it off, so in my opinion, the masses would think he won.
Trump is great at the killshot snipe, not the constantly bickering and arguing with the commentator part. Trump isn't Obama, he is who he is and that's fine, just need to choose your battles or you look weak despite being right. Biden may have lied every other sentence, but most people won't fact-check things and judge on behavior. Trump needs to play that game, get in some big jabs, let Biden dig his own grave and not look like he's bickering. Still voting for Trump 100%, just voicing my thoughts in case it helps anything.
Yup, and he also called him a clown.
And did so extremely nonchalantly and dismissively.
Compare that to Trump getting visibly angry at times.
Now imagine your average lefty who has literally no idea what is going on from a factual standpoint.
I think they would say "Trump is a bully, he got what he deserved, Biden was calm and collected! SEE, HE IS LUCID! (insert mad Cage face)"
It looks like it's all about the definition of what constitutes a win.
Imo it's not about you, I, or any pedes here. We know what's going on.
In your eyes or mine -- Joe's anything didn't matter.
In the eyes of a typical democrat who can maybe still be swayed because they thought Joe wasn't there favorite and was losing it but doesn't know any actual facts?
I wouldn't be so sure.
He didn't poop his pants, remained relatively collected -- and rebutted Trump's attacks with breathtaking lies, but nobody cares about that last part because the MSM won't talk about it.
Well, the MSM would call it in Biden's favor regardless of Trump's performance, right?
Given these circumstances, in my opinion, what matters is what happens "here and now" during the debate, hence my points about the immediate perception by an uninformed third party, etc.
The longer I look at it, the more it looks like Trump was trying to go for the kill, rattle Sleepy Joe past the point of no return, make him humiliate and destroy himself.
Objectively, this was not possible to do with Clinton, as she was dumb and vile, but lucid -- but here this is an attainable goal.
This didn't quite work out yet (although Joepedo did snap at least twice with "shut up" and "clown" remarks), but realistically it is unlikely Joe can do even another hour under such immense pressure.
You’re basing your measurements on appeasing the opponent and that is a losing strategy. There are no Democrats susceptible to being swayed right now, and Joe lost the independents with his opposition to energy jobs, support for GND, and push for more taxes
I guess I should've said the same logic applies to the independents, i.e. to the clueless.
As to appeasement -- no, that is absolutely not what I am saying.
I agree, this would be a losing strategy.
I'm only saying that Trump didn't talk about his accomplishments enough, and Biden did surprisingly well.
Biden's lies likely do not matter, as the MSM won't cover them.
I then surmise that an average clueless person who votes based on an emotional response would think Biden won.
Moreover, I'm not implying Trump should've done anything differently -- I simply don't know his game plan.
He changed his tactics during the debate quite a bit, and probed both Biden and the moderator. I think he's looking for a crushing blow, something that'd rattle Biden so much, he'd start rambling about corn pop.
His game plan was to turn the debate into a rally. He didn't let Joe get any good sound bites, because he interrupted him with specific examples that undermine nearly all of his points. So if the MSM want to cover what Biden said, they cannot use much of the footage without also disproving Biden. Meanwhile, in so doing, he owned the debate. It became all about Trump's talking points. It may seem "rude" to people, but only to the people that wanted Biden to win. If a true independent were watching, they would probably be most interested in the bombshells dropped (especially if they haven't been paying attention): the spying, the rigging, the corruption behind Hunter, Biden's plan to increase taxes, Biden's support for the Green New Deal, and other things that contradict the prevailing media narrative. Essentially, Trump made Democrats and independents watch and participate in his rally. The most telling piece of evidence for that was the way he ended it: a call to action to be a poll watcher for all his supporters.
Biden said virtually the same thing Mike Pence did in 2016 about the police. That there are some bad apples but essentially they're good and decent. When Pence said that, he got hammered, but I'm sure Biden gets a pass.
I have posted this before, anyone thinking of betting on the election, back in 2016 we won over $8600 against from memory a $1230 out lay by predicting the Fake News propaganda would aggressively push a fake narrative on the public's perception of the debates against what the Fake News wanted to push & betting while the Trump odds blow out .This was especially true with using foreign bookmakers, as their press swallowed the fake News narrative /rigged polls & this showed in the odds they offered.
To be clear l am not advocating everyone gambling ,but if you have actually been following the political landscape on all sides ,made your own decision that you were going to wager on the outcome, after the first debate was the crucial time to get really good odds for the Trump campaign,as the real public perception became clearer in the follow up debates the odds changed dramatically .
yup. Biden just gets to say "that's not true" and the MSM swoons.
Thanks Mr Vice President, next question
Yeah I caught that too. He's called Biden mr vice president like 10 times already.
He's called him that 10000 times by now.
Former VP.
I wanted to punch the fucking wall watching this tonight.
First the wall then every communist scumbag
The fact that no one said anything about Biden using the "white supremacists/good people on both sides" quote, which has been debunked about a thousand times, was serious bullshit.
The fucking moderator repeated this stupid hoax.
I dare you to tune into CNN right after this and watch for 15 minutes.
There isn't enough alcohol to get that loaded!
"Apparently you've never seen my other fridge".
~Nancy Pelosi probably
I thought that those $20,000 dollar refrigerators were holding more than swanky ice cream, the sly old drunk!
I keep my gin and vodka in the freezer. I think it makes a better mixed drink that way.
Same, pretty much all strong alcohol goes in the freezer
I think so, too. Although I am more of a bourbon drinker, I do like an occasional ice cold shot of vodka.
*Yet.
I’d rather let joepedo touch me...
I’d rather testify against Hilary Clinton... 😳
That’s a death sentence....and I’m 34 so I’m safely outside of the Pedo diddling fingers...Gods Speed Fellow Pede! 🍻 to not suiciding yourself!!
I'd rather let everyone know I have evidence that will lead to the arrest of the Clintons
i just ate, I can't
CNN is the correct source to look at for what "they're saying". And they're not really praising either side. We knew they weren't going to praise Trump, so I think this is the best outcome we could hope for from the corrupt MSM.
NBC and Cuck Todd was bad enough. I lasted one minute. That usually never happens!
Wife was watching it on CBS. After the debate, 2 minutes maybe. When whomever the black woman is said "It just made me kind of sad." Wife said, "That's enough, I'm calling it. Turn it off."
I really hate this piece of shit Chris Wallace. Every question for DJT has a "but" and is loaded.
Biden did better than i expected him to do. He actually showed up, and didn't visibly sniff any little girls.
His handlers gave him the correct dosage.
I’m thinking a hidden IV with timed or remotely administered doses.
I agree. Makes me wonder why his campaign is working so hard to keep him hidden.
He definitely struggled. Trump knew facts. Biden knew political talking points stated to the camera... an act. All Biden could provide.
Repeated for emphasis. 100%
And embarrassing performance from Candy Wallace.
Yea but what Trump did to them both simultaneously isn't suitable for younger audiences. Viewer discresion is adviced. :/
Fucking accurate! Wallace let's Biden talk, but tried to debate GEOTUS.
Trump as been debating two ppl tonight LOL.
Did Biden actually make any points, all i have heard so far is him saying its not true, a lie but not actually making any points.
he made zero points. he just had a series of regurgitated fake news headlines
uh he did say he was going to raise corporate tax rate from 21 to 28%, which is moronic but at least it was concrete
He also said the green new deal would "pay for itself."
Right.
He also lied about it. His own website says
https://joebiden.com/climate-plan/#
should probably archive that, I'm not hopeful of it being up by tomorrow.
Archive Link https://web.archive.org/web/20200930043300/https://joebiden.com/climate-plan/#

One dipshit msm talking head is the same as any other.
Did you think Biden was ever going to agree to a debate under fair conditions? The only way Trump (or any republican really) can get a Democrat to show up is to let them have home field advantage; and Trump still dominates enough to make it worth the compromise.
They probably agreed on Fox hosting one debate and got stuck with Wallace.
Honestly Biden sounds like a bad salesman everything is so manufactured with awkward interjections and transitions.
This was somehow worse for Biden than I could have ever imagined. The spin will make your head hurt.
Biden came with his Covid talking points first because that was the heart of their attack strategy, but he wasted all his ammo and didn't have anything left by halfway through the debate.
I would love to hear the opinion of a neutral voter. It's hard for me, as a diehard pede to truthfully see who came out ahead
Yeah, if people were being honest to themselves, Biden failed the debates more miserably than any candidate in the history of any country. Even Hillary did better by a mile, and she got her butt handed to her too.
I can’t stand Biden but this was far from a slaughter.
nah, Chris was cutting off Trumps responses and prodding Biden, even helping him by prompting him for his prescripted answers.
Also Chris:
Mr. President, you'll like this next segment on LAW & ORDER...
25 seconds later
Let's move to the next segment on PROTESTS....
Chris is a joke.
cut off Trump when he asked Biden to denounce Antifa and the rioters.
'As invisible as possible': Chris Wallace's plan for Tuesday's presidential debate
CNBC's Shepard Smith lauds former colleague Chris Wallace: 'Not a partisan guy'
All jokes....
Shep Smith moved over to NBC? I thought he was busy doing stunts for Little Richard in gay pornos.
Playa haters ball lol
Hatehatehate hatehatehate
Unfortunately, the headline on MSM will be "Trump refused to disavow white supremacists and kept interrupting." Calling it now.
Same stupid story every damn time. It's a repeat of 2016. They have nothing new at all.
Yeah, tbh trump messed that question up pretty badly. Would have been so easy for him to just condemn it like he has already done repeatedly
Is the president debating wallace or is he debating Biden?
Fake news can cover up anything, except Biden's cowardice in hiding behind the moderator. People will remember that one.
Trump voter here: I actually don’t think trump did nearly as well as he did with Hillary; and Biden didn’t lose it nearly as much as I hoped he would.
Enemy of the people
Biden legit has done well. Expectations were too low. He didn’t shit his pants, he didn’t talk about Corn Pop, or go on some crazy tangent.
Of course, the president did well, but there’s always a risk when expectations are low.
Agreed. I look forward to the next debate, if they let Joe have one.
The media will celebrate that Biden didnt sound as dementia ridden as he normally does and call that a Biden win
I have to be honest, Biden did way better than I expected. My wife was put off a lot by Trump's interruptions, especially early, and felt he should have been better even though she recognized how crooked Wallace was. Fuck him for repeating the "very fine people" hoax, though.
The Chris Wallace vs Trump debate was a interesting plot twist...
Media: OMG Biden just stripped naked. HE WON HE WON HE WON. VOTE FOR HIM. What do you mean he's going to lose in a landslide
They are doing it already: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=662596891056180
GET IN THERE, MAKE THEM CRY HARDER!
I don't think they will. He didn't say anything. His flustered responses to Trump's attacks were the only thing you could soundbite.
Compare that to last time, I think CNN had Trump at incredibly low numbers in the debates.
Two terrible Wallace moments:
I'm deeply disappointed DT45 didn't nuke Wallace into the next galaxy on point #2. What an ignorant fucking comment by Wallace.
Journalist are literally reporting on Trumps debate performance like they would a school shooting. I think the reporter might cry.
I can't wait to see all the "Wallace 2028" memes on reddit. You know, because he was soooooo impartial.
And all the overnite InstaPolls proclaiming Biden is back on top 80% to 15% with 5% undecided.
biden didn’t die. that was the extent of biden’s victory tonight
The fact checkers on ABC basically gave Biden a B+ and Trump an F-. What's scary is how weasely they twist their answers. Any person not extremely tuned in to what's going on will beleive them.
Inaccurate. Wallace should be slobbering over Biden's dick.
Apparently its Biden because he couldn't actually form a sentence. This is supposed to be the bastion of British news :(
All President Trump had to do was bring up creating peace in the middle east and not starting any new wars. Bring up the riots, mention the dem hypicrisy with lockdowns.
Fuck Chris Wallace.
Of course, all Joe had to do in order to surpass expectations is not drop to the floor and curl up in the fetal posisition.
Look at my comment history I am as pro Trump as they come.
Biden won this debate, by staying on topic and Lying,
Did Wallace help Biden? Yes.
Did Trump help Biden? Yes.
In 2016, Trump did much better on the 2nd and 3rd debates. I'm confident Trump will come back stronger and destroy him next week!
I certainly hope so. He was definitely testing JoePedo's defenses.
He looked like a boxer pacing around his opponent, trying to engage from multiple angles, not caring for occasionally opening up and taking a hit.
Huh... that might just be it, come think of it.

Yup, hence the quotation marks 😁
Edit: added "pseudo" prefix to clarify my comment above.
This makes a lot of sense 👍
Look fat New York Times had an article out praising Biden about the debates hours before the actual debates
We cried and came
-CNN
Biden said virtually the same thing Mike Pence did in 2016 about the police. That there are some bad apples but essentially they're good and decent. When Pence said that, he got hammered, but I'm sure Biden gets a pass.
Ha HA ! good one.
Honestly, Biden did well considering he stayed awake the whole time.
Tomorrow? Youtube's algorithm is feeding me nothing but Biden clip snippets from the debate already
According to the crooked polls, Trump is "doing better" than against Hillary A
CBS poll gave it to Biden...
But, compare that to the first Hillary debate:
