It’s what candidates do though. They get all cozy with their radical party then during primaries then during the debates and general election they toss the radicals away and pander to the moderates. Because every election the radicals will still vote for the party they are a part of no matter what.

He said he doesnt support the green new deal, he made concessions to the idea of law and order after Trump made him say it, and he completely dodged the question on if he would pack the supreme court and get rid of the filibuster. He was all over the place tonight.
The whole thing was horrible, but once people have time to digest it, they will realize Biden seemed like a weak wishy washy pushover with no spine. Trump was his typical obnoxious asshole self though. I will say his constant interruptions at the beginning are really fucking annoying. But him bullying Biden like that makes you wonder how Biden will handle actual bullies like Xi
We know Trump is like that. It's not a secret - nor that Trump has no fucks to give if you think he's an asshole. That's one of his strengths. I like that he's expressing real anger at what he's seeing, that we all see. I take comfort that SOMEONE in high office sees what we see.
But Biden made his world-wide debut as a rude, cranky old asshole, who stutters, can't hold a coherent thought for more than a sentence, and is just spewing insults and lies. He was never in a position of authority, and was on a hair's edge of reaching into his depends and throwing literal shit at the President.
