I think Joe was trying to get the sympathy of the audience, and used his dead son as an excuse to link his son's service in Iraq, to Trump's alleged comments. He was stupid to even bring the subject up since the scenario has been refuted over and over again by people who were there. Too bad for Joe, the wrong son died of brain cancer. Hunter's been nothing but an embarrassment, and Joe has ignored it all, even covering for the kid.
