Trump did kind of fall into that trap
Beau was a fine honorable soldier
Hunter was dog shit.
It wasn’t until half way through the segment when I realized “oh fuck he’s talking about beau not hunter” and even Trump realized he made a mistake when Joe said “Beau”
I’m not sure if it was a mistake. Trump just chose to talk about Hunter and not engage about Beau.
No I mean the part where joe interrupts Trump and says “beau” after trump started calling joe a liar (I think, I’ll have to watch it back)
I, like trump, thought joe was talking about hunter
He didn’t engage because 1) beau is dead and 2) his military service was honorable, there’s no reason to drag him

I'm just surprised that Biden team would use Beau as a prop. You can tell that the line was rehearsed many times.
I don’t know if that was a mistake...it seems like Biden was getting his scripted outrage warmed up, when Trump flipped the conversation back to Hunter. It was almost like Biden give Trump the opening when talking about his son

Not to be disrespectful to a dead man, but I think he was JAG officer... a lawyer.
I doubt he saw much combat in that position. But yeah, he served, I guess. Good on him.

Yeah I doubt Beau saw too much combat, I’m guessing the only time he might have been in combat is riding in convoy transports.
But he was an Delaware AG went he deployed, he could have gotten out of it but he fulfilled his duty honorably, went to Iraq and spent a year there.
No reason to trash him, he deserves a good nod of respect but shouldn’t get praised like he was a war hero or anything .
DJT was talking about Hunter. Joe talked about Beau, which was his biggest gaffe. He can't even keep his own kids straight!
