But if we actually want to be more united, its works against that to place blame no matter where it belongs. I wish we were less in a state of blame games and name calling.

I can understand wishing that, but the other side wants you dead. Literally no point to wishing right now. You can work to unite people, but we are where we are.

Is that hyperbole? Nobody is calling for violence. Biden denounced radicals and supported increased funding for police. If that's his platform its possible to unite on bolstering policing. Their hatred of the right is self referential, but it's not advocating for extermination. If we unite on issues like police, that whole mindset blows up and partisan voters are suddenly up in the air.

Same. The debates were a representation of what the left has turned politics into.

Rather than be introspective and realize that they caused this with their constant alienation of everyone who doesn't totally agree with them, they double down.
